Surrounded by majestic mountains, Les Anges is without doubt the leading chalet in Zermatt and brings accommodation in the resort to a new level of luxury.
Les Anges (‘the Angels') designed by the renowned Interior Architect Magali de Tscharner, extends to 700m² spread over three stunning floors. The chalet features reclaimed wood throughout. It is full of light with large panoramic windows to take advantage of some spectacular views. Great care has been taken to create a warm and cosy ambience, utilising the expertise of leading international lighting consultants. Its modern contemporary style with the highest quality natural fabrics is counterbalanced by the symmetry of the furniture to enhance the feeling of warmth and luxury.
The living area on the top floor features very high ceilings and huge bright windows which almost seem to bring you into the heart of the mountains. The spaciousness of the living area will fulfil the needs for conviviality of the most demanding guests. It opens on to a terrace, ideally set on the Southern side of the chalet featuring a barbecue and a large table for 14 guests. A wooden clad, cosy TV room / library with satellite TV, completes the top floor.
Below, there are seven twin/double en suite bedrooms spread over two floors with balconies. Six bedrooms have a Matterhorn view and four have direct views of that very special mountain. Two of the three master bedrooms have fireplaces. The bed linen and spreads are of top quality and add a final decorative touch.
The Chalet features a generous, serene and calm wellness area. It includes sauna, Hammam/steam room, a relaxation area and a massage room. The relax zone features a fountain and ornamental pond and is clad in a luxurious Italian marble.
Outside there is a 3m² all-year hot tub with massaging jets and other features, perfect to soothe the joints after a day's skiing. Or perhaps just turn everything off and relax in the silent warmth of the pool surrounded by fresh snow as the sun sets behind the Matterhorn.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet to include full gourmet catering with open spirit bar. No travel included.
Chalet Les Anges in Zermatt sits in an unbelievable location in the exclusive Petit Village area of resort, with spellbinding views over the village and of the iconic Matterhorn beyond, there simply isn't a better spot to witness this majestic peak in Zermatt.
The chalet is well-positioned for skiing. A 5 minute journey in an electro-taxi, the best way to travel around this car-free ski resort, will bring you to the nearest lift, the Sunnegga lift station and its funicular. Another few minutes across the resort and you can start your day at the Matterhorn Express gondola, the easiest place to start your day should you wish to ski over to Cervinia on the Italian side of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise ski area.
Roughly 1km from your chalet, walking downhill, will bring you to Zermatt train station and the top of the main high street, Bahnhofstrasse. Along here you will discover the delights of luxury boutique shopping, gourmet restaurants and lively bars.

In April I was lucky enough to be invited out to stay in one of Switzerland's premium ski resorts, Zermatt. It is a place I have always wanted to go for many reasons; the standard of unique design chalets in Zermatt is extremely high, the amazing ski area is legendary and of course, the infamous Matterhorn views are a must-see for any mountain enthusiast!
