The Winter Olympics in PyeongChang are almost upon us so we caught up with a couple of Team GB’s leading athletes to get an insight into two of the most watched events. Boardercross and Ski Cross are events which are dramatic and completely unpredictable. Representing the snowboard community is Zoe Gillings-Brier whilst Emily Sarsfield gives us the lowdown from a skiers point of view. Here is what they had to say.

When you think of skiing you think of clipping in, sitting on an ascending chairlift to then style your way down the slopes, right? The most common form of skiing of course, which became popular and experienced significant growth in the mid-1900’s. Yes it’s that time of year again…..Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! The 3 Valleys ski area, arguably the largest ski area in world, offers a winter sports playground spanning over 1400km². Those who have skied in the Three Valleys will know that there are a multitude of runs for all levels and that although you can easily and quickly find your way around the main runs it takes time to really get to know the area in detail.
Zermatt is a resort that enjoy’s some of the World’s best skiing, all in the shadow of the iconic Matterhorn, but what makes this area so unique, where can you head for something a little different.
