Having just returned from an end of season 3 night jaunt to the unequivocally posh and beautiful resort of Lech<\/a>, I cannot recommend highly enough the delights that can be experienced when staying in the stunning Chalet Uberhaus<\/a>, located in Oberlech in a stunning ski in and out location on a cruisy blue leading down to the centre of Lech.From the moment you walk through the door it feels like an opulent home from home. The chalet combines traditional materials with contemporary design and sumptuous soft furnishings to create a very elegant and sophisticated mountain retreat. The facilities are exceptional and it has a service to match.<\/p>\n

In so many chalets a “cinema room” can be little more than a large screen TV in an additional living room. However, in Uberhaus you can snuggle up on the split levelled sofas, knock out the lights, and watch one of your all time favourites or a new release on a vast projector screen, cranking the sound up as much as you like whilst safe in the knowledge that others in the chalet won’t be disturbed as the sound proofed walls soak up the audio. The perfect spot place to kick back and spend a relaxing evening after a hard day’s skiing.<\/p>\n

In the downstairs bar area you will find a full size snooker table, a 60″ HD screen for all those unmissable sporting occasions, and have the opportunity to sample a vast selection of spirits, fine wines from the cave, or indulge in your favourite cocktail……it is the ideal entertaining space for groups of friends and family to enjoy one another’s company.<\/p>\n

There is a small gym on this floor too, for those who still feel the need to burn a few more calories in order to make space for the next indulgent gourmet extravaganza served by the chef. The gym looks up into a glass roof that in fact is the floor for the outdoor hot tub above! A very unique touch although probably not something that would motivate me to work out when I can see others above me sipping champagne, relaxing in the bubbles and taking in the stunning views!<\/p>\n

The sauna and steam room are located on this entertaining floor too, and offer a sanctuary of relaxation.<\/p>\n

Dining time in Uberhaus is a very grand affair. With a selection of beautifully presented canap\u00e9s delivered to the bar accompanied by the pre-dinner drinks, it’s time to get the taste buds tantalised. Heading upstairs we were sat at the dining table offering intimate surroundings and were able to look into the kitchen to watch our chef at work. The dishes served were incredibly thought out with a great level of invention, bringing together a number of flavours and textures that made your mouth experience new sensations with each bite. Exquisitely presented and served, the food at Uberhaus will be one of your highlights.<\/p>\n

The living area is beautifully proportioned for the size of the chalet and yet it still feels homely, snuggly and inviting with the ambience made extra special with the central fireplace. With a large south facing sun terrace offering the opportunity to soak up the mountain rays, Uberhaus again has got it just right.<\/p>\n

With all these facilities and the exemplary service, it is hard to even think about heading to bed in the thought that you might be missing out….however, when you sink into the amazingly comfy mattress and the squidgy pillows, it just makes you fall in love with this chalet even more! The bedrooms are very well sound proofed and the black out curtains do exactly that, ensuring that you will be treated to one of the best night’s sleep you can imagine, waking up raring and ready to hit the slopes!<\/p>\n

You can probably get the gist that I love this chalet?! It is always hard to answer the question when asked what are my favourites…..yet I can honestly and very confidently say that Uberhaus ranks up there in the top 3 in our portfolio along with the stunning Chalet Grace in Zermatt<\/a> and the Chalet La Grande Roche<\/a> in Courchevel…..don’t ask me to order the top 3 though as that would be nigh on impossible!<\/p>\n
