Spanning 3 floors, Chalet Woodpecker is a beautiful retreat for large groups of family and friends looking for a luxury ski holiday in Alpe d'Huez!
Light-wood panelling and elegant furnishings give this chalet a comfortable yet stylish feel, ideal for your after-ski relaxation. After enjoying a full day on the slopes around Alpe d'Huez, the spacious, open-plan living area will welcome you back to enjoy the roaring log burner. The sofa area is a cosy spot to put your feet up and warm any frosted toes, whilst discussing the day's events or watching Ski Sunday on the TV. In the evening, the large wooden dining table has been strategically positioned to enjoy your meal in front of the snowy landscape, framed across the large floor to ceiling windows. The sleek, open kitchen is perfect for the group's nominated chef to prepare indulgent evening meals and hearty breakfasts, whilst still feeling connected with the group. On blue sky days, the terrace area is an idyllic spot for a glass of rose while the sunsets, or an alfresco cup of coffee to start the day while admiring the mountain views.
Chalet Woodpecker enjoys shared wellness facilities, with Chalet Nightingale that occupies the same building, perfect for a post-ski pamper session. Featuring an indoor hot tub and sauna, guests will be able to soothe any aching muscles to ensure they're ready for the slopes the following day.
In total, Chalet Woodpecker sleeps up to 15 guests across 7 bedrooms. Each bedroom benefits from en-suite facilities and is configured as a twin. This makes Chalet Woodpecker the ideal ski chalet for corporate ski trips as well of groups of friends and family. There is also a triple bedroom in the chalet, on the first floor.
For any guests wishing to drive to the chalet, Chalet Woodpecker shares 4 outdoor parking spaces with the neighbouring property, Chalet Nightingale. Please confirm upon booking how many spaces you require for your group.
Chalet Nightingale in the same building can be booked alongside Chalet Woodpecker, for larger groups of up to 21 guests. Please enquire if this is more suited to your booking requirements.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for 14 people, with a contactless catering service. Empty bed and children discounts will apply.
Self-catered prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet to include mid-stay cleaning and linen change.

Chalet Woodpecker is situated in a prime, central ski location in sun-drenched Alpe d'Huez, positioned next to the nearest piste, on Avenue de l'Eclose. Although the piste outside the chalet may not be suited to complete beginners, the Telecentre lift, leading to a variety of nursery slopes and the main lift departure point, is only a 3 minute walk away. The resort centre is also only a 5 minute walk from the chalet.

As the world is becoming increasingly contactless, they have designed a solution to meet everyone's needs, by offering three levels of service, allowing your stay to be tailored to specific requests.
Your premium chalet will be ready on arrival with beds made, dinner ready, fridges stocked, ski equipment booked and lift passes delivered. They will prepare everything behind the scenes but only be a phone call away for anything you need. This modern twist on chalet holidays ensures both safety and comfort for you and your family during your winter getaway.
When taken on a self-catered basis, a mid-stay clean with towel and linen change is included, as well as end of stay cleaning, a welcome basket, and firewood.
The contactless catered service offers a more effortless holiday experience, with guests greeted to a Champagne reception upon arrival at your luxury ski chalet. In addition to the self-catered inclusions, guests will receive the luxury of having the supplies you need for each meal, including; breakfast every morning, afternoon snacks, pre-dinner nibbles and dinner for six evenings. Breakfast each morning consists of a selection of hot and cold provisions, stocked prior to your arrival in the chalet. Afternoon snacks and pre-dinner nibbles will also be waiting for you in the chalet, with a selection of complimentary drinks (including wine, beer and port) also available to enjoy before your meals. On five evenings, you will receive prepared meals by the local Savoyard Delicatessen and the remaining night will be a raclette style meal. This means you can skip the hassle of meal planning and ingredient hunting and let the team take care of everything. All orders will be made with Savoyard delicatessens and supermarkets.
