The Property

Chalet des Hermines is the definition of an authentic, traditional ski chalet. Formerly an 1885 farmhouse, Chalet des Hermines has been tastefully restored to blend in a touch of luxury with a handful of modern facilities, yet very much retaining its original, authentic décor and warm atmosphere. Sleeping 10 adults and 2 children, this 600m² luxury chalet brings the best of both worlds for a real, unique ski retreat just outside of Megève.

Chalet des Hermines' charming and traditional exterior brings an indication of what awaits guests inside. As soon as you enter through the chalet's main door, you will be welcomed by a grand entrance hall, complete with gorgeous high ceilings, a hanging chandelier and an embracing aroma of old wood. Take the wooden staircase up to the chalet's first floor, where guests will find Chalet des Hermines' main open living space, a capacious room with huge vaulted ceilings giving an essence of cathedral grandeur. To the right, a cosy sofa setting has been arranged to maximise the warmth from the impressive fireplace, a great spot to host those after-ski catch-ups. An old wooden desk also lies in this snug area, suitable for those needing to catch up on any missed work during their holiday. Tucked away in the far corner, a TV/reading corner offers the chance to delve into a good book or continue your latest series in more privacy, yet still be connected to the rest of the group's conversations.

On the other side of the living floor, lies an open kitchen dining area for your chalet nights in. Seating all 12 guests, the elegant wooden dining table will let you enjoy your evening meals together, under an exceptional hanging chandelier. Leading out through the dining space is a covered terrace area, which has a table for 10 people and outdoor heating for those colder evenings or a spot of alfresco dining looking out to the countryside. A beautiful open kitchen allows for meal preparations in the chalet. Fully-equipped with all the modern appliances you'd expect in a luxury chalet, the kitchen still preserves its traditional farmhouse feel, showcasing several of its original features - the incredible stone sink and original chopping board are a real stand-out!

Above Chalet des Hermines' living area lies a mezzanine floor. Complete with a reading area, football table and a desk, it is a universal space to unwind and make the most of your chalet surroundings.

Meanwhile, relaxation takes place on Chalet des Hermines' ground floor. The wellness area, complete with an indoor hot tub and sauna, is just what any tired ski muscles desire after a day on the slopes. A separate massage room will help to loosen the last of the knocks and aches felt. Gym facilities are also available for a workout or a yoga/pilates session with a private coach (classes incur an additional charge).

All of Chalet des Hermines' bedrooms are found on the ground floor, except the master. Sleeping 10 adults and 2 children across its 6 bedrooms, the chalet is perfect for those luxury family ski holidays. Each bedroom blends a mixture of sumptuous furnishings and farmhouse charm, with a touch of contemporary living, to offer a haven of comfort. Open bathrooms are found in a few of the bedrooms, with all other bedrooms benefitting from en-suite facilities, apart from one which has a private bathroom. The master bedroom on the chalet's second floor is sure to impress, positioned under high ceilings under the eaves of the property. This spacious 51m² bedroom features an open bathroom, 11m² dressing room and a terrace which looks out to spectacular views of the valley of Arly.

There is also a ski room with boot warmers to store your equipment, and garage parking for groups driving to their ski holiday.

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet on a bed & breakfast basis, with afternoon tea and daily housekeeping.
