Some of the larger suites include wine cabinets, additional bedrooms, and both kitchen and dining areas, allowing for an exclusive getaway within The Chedi Andermatt. Stay in the Furka Suite and you will be treated to a lovely private spa area, complete with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, while a stay in the Gotthard is perfect for families of up to 10, due to its alcove twin beds ideal for children, situated beside a TV/play room that can be kitted out with lots of toys. Adults won't be lacking for gadgets either, with every room and suite including tablets that allow you to control many in-room settings.
The Spa & Health Club at The Chedi Andermatt may be one of the most comprehensive within the Swiss Alps. An extraordinary 2,400m² spa features an exceptional list of facilities, from a giant 35m indoor swimming pool to the state-of-the-art facilities within the multiple fitness rooms. There's a 12m heated pool outside, several saunas (including Finnish and organic), steam rooms and Jacuzzis, and 12 luxurious treatment suites. Throughout the spa, you will find a multitude of comfortable loungers to relax and unwind, with a common motif to the decor that pays tribute to Far Eastern philosophy and the serenity that this delivers. The area even has a hair salon! Even more spa facilities can be found within the Winter Village at The Chedi Andermatt, which hosts an outdoor hot tub and barrel sauna.
There are a staggering number of dining establishments at The Chedi Andermatt, sumptuously furnished with a similar design of dignified luxury, alpine chic and Asian style. Many of these have an impressive list of awards to their name, with The Restaurant holding 15 Gault Millau points, The Japanese having 2 Michelin Stars and 17 Gault Millau points, and The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt, situated up the slopes, also having a Michelin Star and 16 Gault Millau points. At the hotel, enjoy drinking, dining and relaxing around the fireplaces in the grand hotel bar, lobby and living room, while more intimate dining experiences can be enjoyed in the semi-private upper and lower dining rooms. A true spectacle at The Chedi Andermatt is the towering glass cases, which hold a mixture of wine, cheese and cigars depending on what establishment you're in. There are multiple spots to indulge in the finer things, including the Wine Cave, and the Wine and Cigar Library.
Outside, the courtyard of The Chedi Andermatt is transformed into a magical wonderland as The Winter Village. There are some spa facilities here, as well as a charming market booth to purchase trinkets and mulled wine, and two further eating establishments. The Chalet is a classic authentic Swiss chalet-style restaurant for classic mountain dishes, while The Kota offers an exclusive BBQ experience for 8 guests at a time.
From small corporate retreats to giant banquets, there are several rooms at The Chedi Andermatt that can host events, fitted out with all the latest technology and features. The Gotthard and Oberalp seminar rooms have the capacity for up to 250 people, while the boardroom offers a more private meeting for 16 guests. The Wine Library can also host up to 35.
Prices are based on two people sharing a Deluxe Room and includes daily buffet breakfast, daily housekeeping, and full use of the hotel facilities and spa.

The Chedi Andermatt is located in the very heart of the resort of Andermatt, the central point in a charming Swiss village, situated conveniently between the main high street and the train station.
In the centre of the resort, the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the nearest ski lift, the Gütsch Express gondola, which takes you up the Gütsch mountain. A 10 minute walk will bring you to the Gurschen-Bahn cable car, giving access to the Gemsstock side of the ski area.
The hotel has lots of facilities on-site, including several restaurants, one of which has 2 Michelin Stars. More restaurants, as well as Andermatt's selection of bars and shops, can be found on the main high street, a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The Restaurant
With 15 Gault Millau points to its name, this prestigious hotel restaurant, serving a mix of European and Asian cuisine. The restaurant houses the Cheese Tower, a 5m tall glass showcase of some of Switzerland's greatest cheese treasures. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, with lunch served Friday-Sunday.
The Japanese/ The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt
Located in the hotel, this 2 Michelin Star restaurant (with 17 Gault Millau points) is one of the best restaurants in Switzerland. The Head Chefs, the renowned Twins, Dominik Sato and Fabio Toffolon, deliver a fine Japanese culinary experience full of innovation, meticulous attention to detail and excellence, in an open kitchen where you can watch the masters at work. The speciality is the four to six-course Omakase menu, paired with a wide range of sake options. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 6:30pm, The Japanese can also be hired privately.

The Bar & Living Room/The Lobby
With light meals and a snack menu available daily from Noon until Midnight, and a full-service bar, DJ sets and imaginative cocktail menu for your sociable evenings, The Bar and Living Room at The Chedi Andermatt is the perfect spot for a fun-filled catch up of the day's ski exploits.
The Lobby features the same menu as The Bar and Living Room, while also offering a delightful spot for afternoon tea between 2pm and 5pm, in an even more relaxed atmosphere.
The Cigar Library/ The Wine Library
The Cigar Library is home to the largest selection of cigars of any hotel worldwide, with more than 1000 from 15 different countries. These include many rare and special-edition varieties.
Full of an astonishing collection of wines, where you can relax and unwind daily from 10am to 10pm. There are also regular promotional wine tastings hosted here.
The Winter Village
The Courtyard at The Chedi Andermatt is transformed into the spellbinding "The Winter Village" over the winter season. Amongst the snowy alpine fits, unwind in an outdoor hot tub, relax in the Finnish barrel sauna, purchase mulled wine and local trinkets from the Market Booth, and indulge in culinary delights at a couple of pop-up restaurants.
The Chalet is a pop-up restaurant in the style of a traditional Swiss chalet, serving typical dishes like fondue and raclette. The Chalet can host up to 40 guests in its cosy, heated lounge. The Kota is an intimate dining spot available to book for exclusive use, where up to 8 guests can enjoy private BBQ dinners around the grill.
The Spa & Health Club
2,400m² of pure luxury wellness indulgence, immerse yourself in a plethora of incredible spa facilities to bring mind, body and soul into balance. There is a 35m indoor swimming pool, 12m outdoor heated pool, hydrotherapy, Jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms, as well as 12 treatment suites to enjoy a world Far-East-inspired wellness treatments using the most exclusive cosmetics brands. The Chedi Andermatt is built to low-energy standards, consisting of 9 excellently insulated buildings that use 100% of its electricity from hydroelectric and wind sources in the Gotthard region. The majority of vehicles used are electric, with multiple EV charging points for guest use. The Spa & Health Club uses products with 100% natural ingredients, while the hotel has regular training and awareness raising programs, as well as relying on local and fair trade products in its menus.
