The Property
Chalet Whymper offers an enviable location in the heart of Chamonix centre, making this an ideal base for groups who want convenience at their fingertips. The chalet is set over 350m² with 10 bedrooms sleeping up to 22 guests in comfort. This property is perfect for a large group of friends, huge family get-togethers or corporate breaks or on quieter weeks as a suitable base for small groups who just need a couple of rooms on a shared basis.
This super functional chalet centres around its large, open-plan living space on the first floor. To one side of this space you find a cosy lounge area centred around the ceramic traditional fireplace whilst the remaining area is set out as a generous dining room. The dining tables can be configured to best suit your group, whether you need a large table to all dine together or prefer it set up for smaller parties. Leading off from the dining area is a separate bar area where you can enjoy a relaxed conversation and drink.
When taken for a corporate group, this can be conveniently set up as a conference space with the large screen behind, drop-down projector and other needs on request.
From this living area, guests have access to a large wrap-around balcony as well as the sun terrace, where you can laze in a private hot-tub that offers far-reaching views of the spectacular Mont Blanc and Aguille du Midi. Additional Spa facilities can also be found on the basement floor, where a sauna and massage room are on offer to help soothe those aching muscles after a long day on the mountain.
The chalet offers 10, very well appointed bedrooms. This first five of these, all on the ground floor, come fully en-suite and are very neatly appointed with modern furnishings. The 6th bedroom will be found on the first floor, this again comes en-suite with a very generous bathroom, with bedrooms 7 through to 10 located on the second floor. Bedrooms 8 and 9 are expansive family rooms that both are fully en-suite and also offering the bonus of a balcony with views out towards Mont Blanc.
In addition, you will find many more practical touches that will add the 'cherry on top' to this well-equipped chalet. A large ski store and garage on the ground floor as well as the latest, high speed Wi-Fi throughout the chalet mean you will be well catered for whatever you require.
Prices are per person and are based on 2 guests sharing a room and includes a daily buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and housekeeping service. Short stays and flexible arrival dates possible.

Location
Superbly located, Chalet Whymper is in the very heart of Chamonix centre, meaning the shops and bars of the town are right on the doorstep as well as access to the skiing. From the chalet you can walk to the Savoy lift, beginner slope and home run piste in just 3 minutes (270m). You can connect into the Brévent ski area from here, or you can choose to walk to the Brévent gondola itself, which is 500m away or an 8 minute walk. After a long ski day, groups can enjoy the famous Folie Douce apres just over 150m away.
For access to the other ski areas such as Grande Montets or Les Houches, a 400m walk will take you to the Place du Mont Blanc where the free valley shuttle buses can be accessed.

This chalet is also ideally set up for a corporate requests and would be a perfect base for a corporate ski trip in Chamonix. Chalet Whymper can host 10 guests in single rooms or up to 22 into double/triple rooms. However, if you do have any extra guests over the chalet capacity, there is possibility to accommodate any additional members in the sister hotel across the road. During your corporate event, if you are hosting a conference, seminar or meeting, the chalet team can provide mineral water, fresh fruit, notepads, pens, flipcharts, large screen television, adjustable space, sound system, high-speed Wi-Fi connection and projector screen and video projector on request. They can also help you arrange team building sessions and activities for all levels and to match your group's desires and needs.
