Description

St. Anton, at the centre of the Arlberg Ski-Circus, is firmly established as one of Europe’s top ski resorts, drawing keen skiers from all over the world. The ski area is vast, covering not only St. Anton’s own mountains but also the neighbouring villages of St Christoph, Lech and Zürs. It offers some of Austria’s most extensive and most challenging skiing as well as some of the very best luxury chalets. The cosmopolitan atmosphere of this famous village also ensures plenty of activities off the piste with a multitude of lively bars, excellent restaurants and plenty of shopping opportunities!

St. Anton am Arlberg is a truly unique recreation paradise for the whole family. The cosy little town with 2500 inhabitants has still maintained its genuine ambiance and charming atmosphere. Relax and unwind at the elevation of 1300m where crisp and clean mountain air is guaranteed! Experience genuine Tirolean hospitality and spend the most beautiful days of the year among friends.

St. Anton am Arlberg is a snowy paradise of the highest calibre in winter, and a hotspot for hikers and climbers in the summer. But there’s more - St. Anton am Arlberg is a modern holiday resort that has retained its traditional appeal. Hospitality and Tyrolean customs are as much a trademark of the village as its international, cosmopolitan character. And not only does it offer a colossal backdrop of peaks and popular (skiing) mountains, it also has all the comforts you would expect from an international holiday resort with many luxury ski chalets.

St. Anton am Arlberg is the first port of call for winter sports enthusiasts, and has enjoyed a world-famous reputation for decades. There are 83 mountain railways and lifts, 270 kilometres of prepared pistes and 170 kilometres of fantastic powder and granular snow slopes throughout the region, offering unlimited possibilities. One extremely important point – this Tyrolean resort is in an area of the Alps where snow is virtually guaranteed.

Apres-Ski

St Anton’s vibrant après scene starts to warm up from lunch-time in the Sennhütte before snow-users make their way down to the noisy Mooserwirt just above the final descent to the resort. The Australian-inspired and Swedish-owned Krazy Kanguruh just above it is equally popular; long before the lifts close for the day the bar is packed tighter than Bondi Beach. Most guests, after dancing in their ski boots and consuming copious amounts of alcohol, still manage to negotiate on skis the final 800m home in the dark!

Down in the resort the action continues until sundown on the terrace of the Hotel Alte Post before switching to the Underground, Postkeller or the Platz’l, which have live music. The St Antoner Hof bar is more quiet and sophisticated. Scotty’s Bar in the Hotel Rosanna is a rendezvous for Brits. After midnight the scene switches to the Piccadilly, Bar Cuba and the Kandahar.
