Put quite simply, the ski station of Haute-Nendaz, which is just over the mountain from Verbier, is one of the best kept secrets in the Alps. It is one of the principal villages in Switzerland's Four Valleys ski area, and sits at an altitude of 1365m, offering excellent skiing and boarding with pistes up to a dizzying height of 3,330m. There are a variety of luxury chalets in Nendaz taking advantage of the wondrous terrain on offer and many feature breathtaking views of the Rhone Valley below.
The full 4 Valleys lift pass gives you 412km of pistes with access to the slopes of Verbier, Siviez, Thyon and Veysonnaz. The magnificent Mont Fort peak rises at an altitude of 3,300m above the village as a challenge to even the most intrepid of skiers or boarders and due to its exceptional scenery, the mountain is also an excursion point for non-skiers. From Nendaz it's possible to get to Siviez by shuttle bus service which is covered in the all-inclusive ski package alternatively you can reach Siviez by car.
The frozen lake of Tracouet is a fun location for children and beginners, which features a snow garden and specially adapted installations to allow children to discover the joys of skiing in a fun way. A nursery welcomes children from 18 months upwards and allows parents to take advantage of the variety of the ski domain.
