The Property

La Ferme des Frasserands is a traditional Alpine home for between 12 and 16 guests, located between Argentière and Le Tour in the Chamonix valley. Originally built in 1764, you are unlikely to find a luxury chalet in Chamonix that exhibits a more rustic and genuine character than La Ferme des Frasserands. From the authentic farmhouse-style living area to the captivating charm of the cosy bedrooms, this chalet's design stands out for those wishing to experience a historic French chalet experience.

The main living room is by far the highlight of the property. The heart of the chalet, you will be left enchanted by every aspect of this spacious room. Gnarled wooden beams and a glistening chandelier hang above your head amongst the towering ceilings, while luxurious, modern sofas are perfectly positioned to admire the spectacular panoramic views on show through the double-height windows. The central fireplace enhances the homely and welcoming vibes, providing your group with warmth on those chilly winter evenings. Antique pieces, authentic artworks and original decorations all help to add to the wonderful character on show at La Ferme des Frasserands. Within this open-plan space, you will also find the chalet's dining area, set for 8 guests, and a stainless steel kitchen fully-equipped with modern appliances and even a rotisserie. A snug library found by the fireplace offers a quiet space for reflection and relaxation.

The chalet features some balconies that offer the same spellbinding views of the Mont Blanc panorama. There is also a quaint garden space, which includes space for alfresco dining in warmer months, and is also where you will find the traditional mazot. The mazot houses the chalet's sauna, ideal for easing any tired legs from a day of skiing in Chamonix.

There are a total of eight bedroom areas to La Ferme des Frasserands, with the chalet offering a maximum capacity of 16 guests. The bedrooms exhibit the same traditional Chamonix style as the rest of the chalet, with original wooden features, inviting beds and old-fashioned art. There are four double bedrooms, two of which can be split into twins, with their own en-suite, as well as a smaller double bedroom snug with its own shower cubicle just off the main living room. Another double bedroom functions as an atelier, or artist's study, with direct access to the garden. The chalet also includes a children's twin room and an open dormitory with four single beds on a mezzanine floor above the lounge.

There is ski storage available at La Ferme des Frasserands, with boot warmers for your shoes. Exterior parking and laundry facilities are also available at the chalet.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 16 guests and is offered on a self catered basis with mid-stay housekeeping.

When fully catered, prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for 10 guests and is offered with full gourmet catering, complimentary drinks selection and daily housekeeping. Smaller group discounts apply and additional guests are charged as extra.
