The Property
From the moment you walk into Chalet La Varappe you know that you are somewhere rather special. Originally built by Mr Pomagalski (founder of the world-leading "Poma" company), much of the chalet interior is clad in the wood cleared when building the lift system in Meribel. The chalet has until now been a private home; we are delighted to have been entrusted with its care and to be able to add it to our portfolio of very exclusive chalets.
A stand-alone chalet with delightful terraces and garden offering a wonderful view of the mountains, the chalet sleeps 10 people in supreme comfort, in 5 lovely bedrooms, each with en-suite bath or shower room. Each room has an individual style and character, making them a delightful place to lay your head. There is an additional attic bedroom which is suitable for 2 or more children.
The heart of the chalet is the delightful sitting room, with its beautiful stone fireplace, wonderful artworks and antiques, and decorated with quintessential English charm. Surrounded by such extravagance and refinement, you can't help but feel like a treasured, personal guest.
The chalet also offers a very private outdoor, Cedar wood hot tub, a steam room, TV / games room and, of course, a large ski and boot room.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for 10 adults to include full gourmet catering for 5 nights with 1 night of more relaxed dining, open bar and in-resort driver service. Empty bed and child discounts will apply. No travel included.
Please note this chalet can also be taken on a Self-catered basis. Self-catered rates include daily housekeeping, an in resort driver service and complimentary soft drinks.
Location
La Varappe is located in the centre of Meribel and a short chauffeur-driven minibus ride from the lift centre of Meribel.

In all chalets the day starts with a good breakfast of fruit juices, coffee, a choice of teas, yoghurts, cereals and porridge with fresh milk, eggs, jambon cru, cheeses, fresh bread and freshly baked croissants and jams.
On your return from skiing a tea of fresh home made cakes and biscuits await you in the sitting room.
Dinner is the piece de resistance. On your first evening you are welcomed by a glass of champagne and then you can enjoy an exceptional four course meal to delight any gourmet, rounded off with real coffee, a glass of Pinot and home-made truffles. You will be able to relive the luxury of the gourmet dining experience 5 nights of your week stay with 1 night offering a more relaxed family style meal by the choice of the guests, perhaps a raclette or fondue to indulge your cheesy fantasies.
Of course tea, coffee and fresh fruit are available at any time along with the complimentary bar of beer, wine, selected spirits and mixers.
