The Property
La Ferme du Bois is one of the oldest farmhouses in Chamonix and also one of the valley's most stunning properties. It is situated in the picturesque village of Les Bois – Chamonix's most sought after area.
The chalet was recently refurbished to a high standard, mixing rustic styles with modern details and equipped with exclusive facilities such as outdoor hot tub, a home cinema room, several flat screen TVs and beautiful antique furnishings. The result is a 5-star chalet with lots of charm, history and authenticity that has been highly appreciated by its guests.
There are 4 bedrooms on the ground level and one double room on the top floor. 3 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and two share a shower room. All the bedrooms have beds that can be either made up as twins or doubles.
Upstairs is the dining room with a possibility of seating for up to 20 people. This space is decorated with antique furniture and historic details in every corner.
Half a step up from the dining area is the vast and beautiful living room with high-beamed ceiling, panoramic windows and a huge walk-in fireplace. Accessed from the living room is the sundeck with the brand new hot tub. The views from this point are spectacular and show the different peaks in the Mont Blanc mountain range.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet on a self-catered basis with mid-stay housekeeping.
The chalet can also be taken with full chalet catering service for daily breakfast, afternoon tea and 6 evening meals. Prices are based on 10 guests, please enquire for smaller group pricing.
A driver service can also be added on request, with various service options available.
Location
The village of Les Bois breathes history and has some of the most authentic and beautiful chalets in the valley of Chamonix. It is therefore a perfect location for non-skiers who wish to go for short or long walks, stroll around in the peaceful forestry areas or try the cross-country tracks and bike-trails which also pass by the village.
Both trains and buses stop in the village of Les Praz, which is a lovely 10-minute walk from the chalet through the village. The ski area of Flegere is only a short drive or a 15-minute walk.
Chamonix centre can be reached within 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike or approximately 35 minutes if you would choose to walk from the chalet.
