Chez Bear Ski Lodge is a beautifully restored 17th century farmhouse with an outdoor hot tub in the Briançon valley. Sleeping 10-15 guests over its five bedrooms and offering a range of entertainment and wellness facilities, this traditional chalet is a great option for a catered ski holiday in the Serre-Chevalier ski area.
The cosy lounge area of Chez Bear Ski Lodge is bursting with an authentic alpine charm, rustic wood beams from the original farmhouse and white stone walls create a comforting design made homely by the open fireplace in the corner of the room. Plush sofas and armchairs welcome guests to rest their tired legs and enjoy some afternoon tea after their day on the slopes of Serre-Chevalier. Around the corner, the dinner table and bar area provide a relaxed social space for guests to unwind in each other's company. A wood burning pizza oven also sits behind the bar, adding to your evening's ambiance.
Outside on Chez Bear Ski Lodge's terrace, soak in the views from the soothing wood fired Nordic hot tub. Perfect for post-ski recovery and relaxation, especially when paired with a rejuvenating session in the chalet's traditional sauna. It's just what you need after an exhilarating day on the mountain. For some friendly competition in the evenings, retire to the games area for a tournament on the pool table. Sat under arched stone ceilings with comfy furniture, it's the ideal hangout for an evening of fun with your loved ones. A large projector screen can also be pulled down for you to enjoy your favourite blockbuster.
Chez Bear Ski Lodge has five en-suite bedrooms, offering a cosy cabin feel and views over the mountains from their windows. With four double bedrooms and a further triple room, the chalet is ideal for a group of friends or families. Some bedrooms have additional beds on mezzanine levels, so the chalet can sleep up to 15 on request.
Self-driving guests of Chez Bear Ski Lodge will have to request parking before arrival.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 10 people and includes full chalet catering service and in-resort driver service to and from the slopes. Up to 5 extra guests can be accommodated on request.
The chalet also has a separate annexe which can provide further accommodation for larger groups, please enquire.
Location
Chez Bear Ski Lodge is positioned high above Briançon, overlooking the surrounding mountains and the valley below.
Briançon's Prorel gondola is only 5 minutes drive away from the chalet, giving convenient access into the ski area for intermediate or more advanced skiers. Guests looking to ski the beginners areas and drop children to ski school can head 15 minutes away, to Chantemerle where they can find ski school meeting points by the Blétonet chairlift. Here, the Ratier gondola will connect you to the wider Serre-Chevalier ski area.
Chalet Chez Bear Ski Lodge is a short 8 minutes' drive from Briançon's historical fortifications. The surrounding city also features plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to explore and keep you entertained throughout your stay.
