Apartment Madeleine is a luxury apartment in Le Refuge de Solaise on the top of the Solaise mountain above the resort village of Val d'Isère. Sleeping between 8 and 10 guests over its two floors, the apartment is stylish accommodation with a décor that can be best described as Alpine chic. This unique offering, blends a magical location, incredible hotel facilities and private space seamlessly and would be a perfect base for a celebratory holiday, group get-together or family retreat.

The lower floor houses the main living area of Apartment Madeleine with a spacious room encompassing the lounge, dining area and kitchen of the apartment. The comfortable grey and brown furniture of the lounge fits in well with the mountain motif of the rest of the property. High wood ceilings in the lounge and tall windows that overlook the terrace restaurant of Le Refuge de Solaise and the mountains beyond give the room an airy feel, while the warming fireplace provides a cosy focal point to gather around on chilly winter nights. The dining table can comfortably seat 10 while the stylish, modern kitchen offers plenty of room to prepare some delectable mountain treats with a breakfast bar attached providing a less formal dining space. There is access to a wide balcony from this main living space where you can truly appreciate the seclusion of this Alpine Retreat as you sit atop the mountain.

There are five bedrooms to Apartment Madeleine - Refuge de Solaise, sleeping up to 10 guests in total. The two bedrooms on the upper floor are the most luxurious, with generous floor space and en-suite shower rooms. One of these has a freestanding bathtub in the room and its own private balcony for a feeling of total solitude. There are two further spacious double bedrooms on the lower floor along with a charming bunk bedroom that sleeps two, all of these complete with an en-suite shower room. For versatility in sleeping arrangements, three of the double bedrooms can also be configured as twin rooms, as needed to match your group configuration.

Guests staying at Apartment Madeleine have the use of all the luxury facilities of Le Refuge de Solaise. There is a bar lounge and two restaurants for a fabulous dining experience. However, the pearl of the facilities on offer is the incredible spa, featuring a 25m swimming pool, two Jacuzzis, two Hammams, an outdoor sauna and four massage and treatment rooms. There is plenty of opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in the refuge, so if the wind is howling and the snow is falling, you are suitably entertained without having to brace the elements. There is also a gym for further exercise. For younger guests, a children's playroom has plenty of space for games, activities and meals with the kid's club for ages 6 to 12 running from 5pm to 10pm.

The Refuge de Solaise also offers a ski room with individual boot lockers and, down in the village, complimentary car parking.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the apartment for up to 10 guests and is offered on a bed and breakfast basis with private butler, daily housekeeping, concierge service and full use of the hotel facilities. Flexible dates possible, please enquire.

Please note, due to the remote location at altitude, Le Refuge de Solaise is only accessible using the Solaise gondola. The gondola operates from 9am-4.30pm providing access from the village. From the 10th of December, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the gondola will also run from 7pm-11pm, allowing you access to and from the village on these evenings. From Sunday to Wednesday, it is not possible to access Le Refuge de Solaise after 4.30 pm and there is no possibility to leave the hotel and go to the village between 5pm and 9am, for security reasons. Please keep this in mind for your travel arrangements on arrival/departure day, as well as whether this location will work with your plans for your holiday.
