The Property
Chalet Valpierre in Val d'Isere can sleep up to 10 across 4 bedrooms and a TV room. As one of the oldest buildings in the resort, dating as far back as 1750, the chalet has a contemporary interior which compliments the ancient exterior of the chalet.
On the first floor of the chalet, above the ground floor where the majority of the bedrooms are located, is the open plan living area. With two magnificent stone fireplaces; one by the large dining room table, and the other in the seating area, the chalet provides a home from home feeling. The modern, fully equipped kitchen forms an excellent workspace for cooking up a delicious homely meal, whilst the large dining room table provides enough seats for 10 people.
Guests staying at Chalet Valpierre have access to a great selection of facilities, including a sauna; perfect after a long day on the slopes and a ski room with boot warmers, which are both located on the ground floor. Upstairs on the second floor mezzanine level, a carved wood minstrel's gallery makes a perfect snug and home TV room, in addition to the main living area.
The bedrooms in Chalet Valpierre are split between two floors, the ground floor and the mezzanine level, above the living room. On the ground floor are three bedrooms, all cosy but stylish. The master suite comprises of a large double bed, en-suite bathroom and a large open fireplace. The other two bedrooms on this floor can be set up as either double or twin bedrooms and both have an en-suite bathroom. The fourth bedroom, which can also be arranged as a double or twin, is located on the second floor of the chalet and shares a bathroom with the TV room, which has space to sleep two additional guests.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 8 guests on a self-catered basis to include a daily delivery of fresh bread and pastries and a private transfer to and from either Geneva or Lyon Airport. An additional 2 guests can be accommodated for a supplement.
A 'half catered' package can also be arranged for an additional cost. This includes three dinners each week (excluding wine) and three mornings of chalet cleaning. Please enquire.
Location
Chalet Valpierre is located in the heart of Val d'Isere, yet slightly set back from the main street. The main hub of ski lifts are about 600m away but if you would rather catch a bus, then the nearest bus stop is 300m from the chalet. There are regular buses to the main lifts in Val d'Isere and also La Daille which is is about a 3-5 minute drive away.
The chalet is also very close to the centre of Val d'Isere with all the necessary facilities such as a supermarket, a range of restaurants,shops and bars just a short walk away from the chalet.
