A St Christoph Ski Holiday
As one of the highest resorts in the Alps, St. Christoph towers at an impressive 500 metres above its popular neighbour of St Anton, at 1,800m above sea level. St. Christoph itself may be one of the smaller resorts of the region, however, with access to over 300 km of ski pistes, this quaint resort certainly caters for the avid skier. The direct ski access from St. Christoph is beginner friendly with mostly blue ski runs down both sides of the valleys, and has both a terrain park and nursery slope in the centre of town. The connecting pistes become more challenging, with red and black runs leading into neighbouring resorts.
There is both ski access and frequent bus services throughout the five main towns of this ski area, so whether you fancy a coffee break in Lech or apres in St. Anton, a chalet in St. Christoph is perfectly situated in the heart of the region. Just a short ski over the ridge of St. Christoph, you'll find yourself in the Stuben Valley, home to the Flexenbahn, a 10-person lift connecting Stuben to Zurs and the final piece in the puzzle that directly connected all resorts of the Arlberg.
Après Ski in St Christoph
In the shadow of St. Anton, famed for its après ski, there is no contest for the busiest apres scene. Despite St. Christoph's small size, it does have a few spots to experience a more sophisticated approach to the traditional Austrian après. Boasting a 600-year-old wine cellar in the centre of the town, there is no lack of fine dining, wines and cosy lounges. The proximity from St Christoph to St. Anton gives a great opportunity to experience all the bells, whistles and table dancing of Austrian après ski.
