The lounge flows into a spacious dining and kitchen area in an open-plan space. While distinctly modern in style, the use of light, natural woods and the abundance of picture windows that gaze out to the magical ski resort of Grindelwald help to foster a pleasant alpine atmosphere. Multiple doors open out onto the apartment's wraparound balcony, where impressive views of the mighty Eiger lay before you. The balcony also offers areas for alfresco dining, ideal for a morning coffee and croissant to start your day.
The duplex apartment features four double bedrooms in total, with a capacity to sleep up to 8 guests. The bedrooms feel especially roomy, with slanting ceilings, skylights and light interiors that greatly open up the space. The top floor has a double bedroom that has an open mezzanine balcony overlooking the living area, while one of the three bedrooms on the lower floor provides direct balcony access. The four bedrooms are serviced by four immaculate bath or shower rooms, three of which are en-suite.
Guests of Apartment Columba will have access to 2 parking spaces in the building's garage. There is internal elevator access into the property, and also the use of both laundry facilities and a ski room with boot warmers.

Location
Apartment Columba occupies a fabulous position in the Grindelwald Grund area of resort, a short distance from the slopes and with amazing views of the Eiger.
The duplex apartment is in a brilliant ski position at the foot of the mountains. A short, 7 minute walk will take you from the property to the V-Bahn lift station, where you will find the Grindelwald Grund-Männlichen gondola, Eiger Express cable car and the Grund station of the mountain railway, which will all take you into the Jungfrau ski area. From the top of the Eiger Express at Eigergletscher, or the top station of the train at Kleine Scheidegg, you can then transfer onto the Jungfrau railway to take you up to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe, for some magnificent views and a truly unique experience.
There are a few bars and restaurants at the foot of the slopes, or for a wider selection you can head into the centre of Grindelwald, where you will also find some shops and boutiques. The centre of Grindelwald can be reached in a pleasant 20-25 minute stroll, or alternatively hop on the bus, with the nearest stop just a minute from the apartment's building.
