Named after the black squirrels living in the chalet's picturesque garden, Chalet Black Squirrel is a modern and comfortable chalet in a wonderful, tranquil location in the exclusive resort of Chamonix. Across its 358m² this gorgeous and relaxed chalet represents the ideal place for a family or group of friends up to 12 guests, wanting to switch off for a while and enjoy their luxury ski holiday in France.
Laid out over four levels, the interiors of Chalet Black Squirrel incorporate modern and luxury alpine design, creating a high-end quality atmosphere, amplified by the large amount of natural light sparkling from every angle. Large windows wall and double height ceilings welcome you in the spacious living space where after a long day of skiing you can catch up with one another or have fun with the family. For those quiet nights, the property provides you with plenty of spaces to sit back and enjoy a good book or watch a film together in front of the fireplace.
A classy open plan dining table set the perfect scenario where to enjoy evening meals together with your family and friends, while planning the next day's skiing activities. On the opposite side of the space, a fully equipped, modern, kitchen gives the chance to the nominated cook of the group to prepare a warm meal, giving a home away feeling.
From the living area, large sliding glass doors allow you to step outside onto the wrap-around balcony and appreciate a 180° view of the Dru, the Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc and Flégère, representing the perfect place for an alfresco meal during the warmer months.
In case you are working from home, or you simply need some time to catch up with ongoing emails, a mezzanine area will recreate a peaceful office space.
After an intensive day on the slopes, Chalet Black Squirrel offers you several options for entertaining and relaxing. To start off, you can gaze up at the stars while drinking a glass of champagne in the outdoor hot tub. In the same area, you could stream yoga or spin classes to the in-mirror TV or ease your muscles in the nearby sauna. The hot tub is located in the garden and is easily accessible from three of the bedrooms or via the steps leading from a side balcony on the first floor.
Whenever you feel to watch your favourite Netflix series, you can head to the cinema room, furnished with a drop-down large screen and projector, ideal for a cosy movie night with the kids or to have some fun listening to your Spotify playlists thanks to the sound system present, while sipping a drink from the nearby bar area.
The luxurious, modern alpine design is also followed in the 5 spacious bedrooms, all complete of en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms. Located on the ground floor of Chalet Black Squirrel, there are three cosy double room, two of which can be arranged also as twin bedrooms, upon request of the guests, as well as a four bed bunk room which is ideal to accommodate four children. While the last double room can be found on the first floor.
For guests arriving with their own vehicle, the underground tunnel takes you into the garage ensuring an easy, private and dry arrival, offering a covered and secure parking space for 3 cars and bikes. The property also provides laundry facilities and a well-equipped ski/boot room, including heated boot racks and plenty of storage space for outdoor clothes and equipment, to make sure they are dry and ready for your next day of skiing in Chamonix. Getting your bags or shopping to your room has never been easier thanks to the elevator present through the house.
For larger groups, Chalet Black Squirrel can be booked in conjunction with the opposite Chalet Black Stone, which can each sleep up to 10 guests. When taken together, the two properties can accommodate 22 guests in total, among 10 bedrooms. Please get in touch if this is required for your booking.
The prices shown are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with mid-week housekeeping.
For winter 2024/25 a gym area will be added and the gallery will be updated once photographed upon completion.
Located in the Les Bois area of Chamonix, this chalet is nestled amongst the trees and offers amazing mountain views. Whilst benefitting a quieter location, the chalet is still conveniently positioned to make the most of the skiing and town life.
The Flégère ski lift is just a short 4 minute drive away, whilst Argentiere can be reached in 10 minutes. The centre of town which a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants can be reached in 6 minutes by car, or alternatively hop on the bus shuttle at Flégère just 12 minutes walk away. Walking trails and cross country ski tracks are easily accessed, about 50 meters from the property.
