Chalet Cachat is the epitome of everything you could wish for in your choice of accommodation on a luxury Chamonix ski holiday: a 200 year old building in a fantastic central location close to skiing and the resorts facilities, teeming with character, quality and rustic charm, with an outdoor hot tub and stunning Mont Blanc views, ready to welcome up to 12 guests in its 6 en-suite bedrooms.
On the ground floor of Chalet Cachat you will find an open-plan living and dining room. Oak floors, an open fireplace and characterful, rustic furnishings exude a cosy home-from-home feel, with there being plenty of soft throws and blankets to rest upon beside the crackling warmth of the fire. Outside, the chalet has a private south-facing garden where you will be treated to fantastic views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi, majestic peaks that are famous around the world. There is also a decked area out here for you to relax in the last of the winter sun after returning from skiing.
Also found outside is Chalet Cachat's outdoor hot tub. This 8-seater Jacuzzi offers a fantastic space to enjoy the pretty views, rest some tired ski legs and cocoon yourself from the cold with the soothing comfort of the warm bubbles.
Located on the ground floor, a cosy TV lounge offers an inviting alternative space to the main lounge, where guests are free to unwind on the plush sofas, catch up with a film or TV show, or simply socialise after dinner.
Chalet Cachat features six bedrooms in total, with space for up to 12 guests. An assortment of bedrooms are spread between the first and second floors, each with their own en-suite. The bedrooms are pleasantly furnished, exuding a homely quality due to the many original features of this centuries old chalet in Chamonix. There are two double bedrooms, two twins and two which can be taken as either, providing good flexibility for mixed groups of up to 12 guests. Each bedroom offers views of Mont Blanc, all of them benefitting from a south-facing exposure.
Chalet Cachat's garden features space for up to three vehicles to be parked. There is a ski locker for storage of all your winter gear.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 people and includes a full catering service with dinner on 5 nights.
Location
Chalet Cachat is found in an impossible to beat central location right in the heart of Chamonix and minutes from the ski slopes.
The chalet sits just a few minutes walk from the nursery slopes, and 14 minutes walk, or 2 minutes drive, from the Plan Praz cable car that gives access to the Brévent-Flégère ski area. The famous Aiguille du Midi cable car is across town, a 6 minute drive away.
The chalet couldn't be better located for seeing all that Chamonix has to offer. You are an easy five minutes walk to the centre of Chamonix, with the first restaurants, bars and shops being found within 100m of the chalet's front door. Chalet Cachat is also located close to the sports centre, found about three minutes walk away across the river.
