The Property
Chalet Rivendell is a private chalet within close proximity to Chamonix Centre. Across three floors, the chalet can sleep up to 12 people, with the option of adding the separate mazot in the garden to sleep up to 14 guests at full capacity.
The middle floor of the chalet comprises of an open plan living and dining area. Beautifully renovated, yet keeping a classic alpine theme, this space is complimented by the traditional wooden beams and large open fireplace. The large window behind the sofa lets light flood in, as well as offering fantastic views of Mont Blanc. Also on the same floor is a wrap-around balcony, with multiple outdoor sofas, the perfect setting for catching the afternoon sun.
The kitchen is located opposite the dining area, just off of the main corridor. Fully equipped with a double fridge, professional oven and dishwasher, you have everything needed for a self-catered stay in Chamonix. Should some guests prefer to eat in separately, there is another dining table in the kitchen area, providing a brilliant social space. Here you'll find another fireplace, ensuring the chalet is kept cosy throughout.
Guests staying at Chalet Rivendell have access to a large alpine garden with a private patio and BBQ, children's play area, and an outdoor hot tub with beautiful mountain views. Back inside the chalet, there is a sauna with adjoining shower, TV room and separate children's play room.
In total, there is space to accommodate up to 12 guests across six bedrooms in the chalet. The master bedroom, which comprises the top floor, has its own fireplace, bubble bath, steam shower and private sun terrace. Across the other floors of the chalet there are five additional bedrooms, three of which can be split into twin rooms. One of these bedrooms also has a bunk bed (sleeps 2) and a sofa bed (sleeps 2).
There is also an exterior mazot which can be added for an additional charge. Here there is a a double bed, sofa area, kitchenette and shower room.
For added convenience, Chalet Rivendell has parking for up to 6 cars and a boot room.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 people on a fully catered basis with complimentary wine during evening meals.
The chalet can also be rented on a self-catered basis. These prices are for exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 people with end of stay cleaning.
The mazot (sleeps 2) can be taken for an additional €500 on a self-catered basis, or €1,000 on a catered basis.
Location
Located in the exclusive area of Les Moussoux, Chalet Rivendell offers total privacy for those wanting a relaxed stay. Although the chalet has quiet surroundings, you are within walking distance from the hustle and bustle of Chamonix centre. Here, you will find a brilliant selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
For the keen skiers in the group, you will only be a 200m flat walk away from the Brévent Ski Lift, meaning you can access one of the largest ski domains in the Chamonix area within minutes of the chalet front door.
