Chalet Baloo provides all you could need from a luxury chalet in Chamonix; three floors and 600m² of luxurious facilities and authentic charm wrapped up in a delightfully traditional chalet exterior. The chalet offers room for up to 12 guests across its six cosy bedrooms, with a peaceful location in the Chamonix Valley making this perfect for groups who enjoy their privacy.
The top level of Chalet Baloo houses the main living areas of the chalet, where the rustic character of the property shines through. From weathered wooden beams to the loft-like farmhouse ceilings, the mounted animal busts above the fireplace and hanging antler light fixtures over the dining table, the home exudes that classic ski chalet feel that also pays heritage to the history of the Chamonix Valley. Tastefully furnished, with neutral brown or red furniture, the open-plan lounge and dining area is the perfect space for group evenings together. The kitchen sits beside the dining table, with the ability to close off or open it up as necessary. There is a balcony leading off the main living area, while a floor below a terrace extends out into a beautiful snowy garden, a magical spot to take in the breathtaking surrounding views and frolic in the snow.
The terrace also hosts Chalet Baloo's outdoor hot tub, an idyllic spot to escape the cold and ease the aches and pains picked up from a day of skiing in Chamonix. Inside, guests are treated to a further selection of incredible spa facilities, including an indoor plunge pool and the soothing properties of both a sauna and Hammam. Downstairs, you will also find a separate massage area and a well-equipped chalet gym.
After an evening of wellness, grab a bottle of something nice from the chalet's wine selection and head into the cinema room. A big screen dominates one wall, while comfy leather sofas provide a sumptuous spot to cosy up once the movie starts.
Chalet Baloo sleeps up to 12 guests total, spread across six double/twin bedrooms. The bedrooms maintain the authentic alpine feel of the rest of the chalet, with wood clad interiors, soft blankets and traditional furnishings making for an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. A master room on the top floor has the benefit of a classic wood-burning stove and private balcony for added luxury. All rooms come with en-suite facilities.
The chalet features its own garage, which also functions as a ski room with boot warmers.
Chalet Baloo can be rented in conjunction with Chalet Amazon Creek and Chalet Baby Bear. Together, the three chalets form the incredible Chalet Amazonia, which can sleep up to 28 guests across 14 bedrooms.
Prices are for exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and is offered with full chalet catering and in-resort driver service.
The chalet is also available on a self-catered basis with daily morning bakery delivery (items charged in addition).
Chalet Baloo is located in a private and scenic setting in the hamlet of Les Bossons in the Chamonix Valley, just outside of the main Chamonix Village.
For your ski day, you can choose to head to the various sections of Chamonix's ski area. However, your nearest option is at the Brévent lift, giving you access to the Brévent-Flégère area on the sunny side of the valley. This can be reached in just a 10-minute drive and here you will also find the nursery ski slopes and ski schools. Les Houches is also a 10-minute drive away and is a quieter alternative at the end of the valley.
Chamonix centre and its generous selection of shops, bars, and restaurants is also 10 minutes drive away. Within the Chamonix valley, there is also a good network of bus routes and the small railway line for further access.
