Chalet Katmai, formerly known as Chalet Husky, is simply unlike any other chalet you have ever seen before. It's a triumph of unique contemporary interior design, coupled with traditional chalet elements, which results in the most mind-blowing property that you simply won't want to leave. The property is over 700m² in size but covers just 2 floors, perfect for those who find large staircases tough, particularly after a long day on the slopes.
From the moment you enter the chalet, prepare to be wowed on every level. The vast open-plan living space spans the entire length of the first floor. At one side, the dining area, complete with bar area, provides the perfect place to indulge on the gourmet delicacies prepared by your in-house chef. In the centre of the first floor, the indoor atrium garden separates the lounge and dining areas, a stunning feature to feast your eyes upon. A slick glass walkway, suspended adjacent to the garden, connects the lounge area. Flanked with large brown leather sofas, it presents an inviting space to warm to the open fireplace after a day on the slopes. Venture out onto Chalet Katmai’s terrace areas, to capture a closer look at the snowy mountain landscape, should the heat become too much.
Throughout the chalet, quirky and interesting artefacts and objects d'art are peppered throughout the chalet, both old and new, each unique in style. The lighting in the chalet adds an extra dimension, from the coloured up-lighting in the atrium to the full spectrum of rainbow colours above the pool. Pay special attention to the light shades - a nice touch of vintage meets contemporary.
The action can continue off the slopes thanks to the incredible array of facilities that Chalet Katmai has on offer. From the vast 32m² swimming pool with infinity waterfall, to the sauna, Hammam and massage room - there's no excuse for aching muscles, not to mention the fitness room for those needing that extra bit of a workout!
Chalet Katmai houses its very own climbing wall/bouldering room, ideal for maintaining peak fitness for the slopes without stepping foot in the fitness room. Doubling up as an archery shooting range, this space is also beneficial for guests needing target practise.
The seven bedrooms have been cleverly designed to ensure that everyone benefits from natural light. Each has an en-suite bathroom, two with baths, and every bedroom has a TV. Six of the seven bedrooms are on the ground floor, with the master benefitting from its own access into the wellness area.
Chalet Katmai has garage parking, with a ski room located in the garage area.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 14 guests and includes full gourmet catering and in-resort driver service.

Chalet Katmai, formerly Chalet Husky, offers a convenient and yet peaceful location in the heart of Val d'Isère. The chalet sits just a 10 minute walk or 5 minutes' chauffeured driver away from central Val d'Isère, where guests can revel in the wide selection of luxury shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
For keen skiers, you can be on the pistes in a matter of moments. The snow front, Bellevarde and Solaise gondolas and ski school is an 8-10 minute walk away or just a couple of minutes with the driver service. Should you prefer to ski back into La Daille at the end of your ski day to make the most of the beginner-friendly skiing, then the driver can pick you up here and whisk you home in around 10 minutes.

And even prior to arrival, your chalet’s concierge service will be on hand to deal with your requests and burning questions.
Throughout your stay, the chalet’s dedicated team will be more than grateful to attend to your every request. Each day, take advantage of delicious mealtimes as prepared and served by the chalet staff. Indulge on sweet and salty cooked breakfasts each morning, après-ski afternoon tea on return to the property and incredible 5-course evening meals on 6 nights of your stay. Selected complimentary drinks are also included within your service package. This includes an unlimited selection of wines and soft drinks to enjoy during dinners, and a complimentary spirits bar.
A private, in-resort driver service (in operation from 8am-10pm) is available to transport you around, perfect for driving to and from the slopes each day. Before heading to the slopes, your group will be delighted to hear of the included in-chalet ski fitting service, that happens on your arrival day!
Daily cleaning ensures your chalet is kept in a tidy manner when you return. The usual bed linen, towels, bathroom toiletries and flowers are provided too.
Additional services can also be arranged by the chalet’s concierge team, which can be of benefit pre-arrival and throughout your stay, to organise the activities and extras that best suit your group’s desires. Services, such as ski passes, ski lessons, massage treatments and airport transfers, can be booked to tailor-make the ski holiday for you.
