The Property
Chalet Sylvain in Val d'Isère is a luxurious chalet nestled in the quieter hamlet of Le Fornet. Accommodating 12-14 guests, and featuring a private indoor spa area, Chalet Sylvain is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a quiet retreat from which to explore the Tignes-Val d'Isère ski area.
Paying homage to its alpine heritage throughout, Chalet Sylvain's exposed beams and vaulted ceilings create a spacious living area flooded with natural light. A stone fireplace ensures guests are toasty during their stay, breathing warmth throughout the lounge and dining areas on the chalet's top floor. The interiors of this living space are decorated with ski and mountaineering relics, adding further character to the chalet. The lounge features several leather sofas in which to relax at the end of your ski day, and sits in an open-plan space with the convivial dining area, suitable for up to 14 guests. Large picture windows lead out onto a balcony, offering a picturesque view of the surrounding mountain scenery above the traditional stone chalet rooftops.
Chalet Sylvain's spa area provides a lovely way to unwind after a day exploring the mountains. A soothing session in the chalet's indoor sauna will expel any fatigue built up during your time on the slopes. In the evenings, there's nothing that can beat a warm soak in the chalet's sunken indoor hot tub, the perfect way to cap off your day.
Chalet Sylvain accommodates up to 14 guests across 6 bedrooms. The bedrooms all have a bright, modern alpine design, with wood accents, white walls, and alpine decorations dotted throughout. The beds are comfortable and inviting, ensuring a good night's rest. Spread over three levels, all bedrooms offer double or twin beds, with an additional set of bunk beds in one room. Each room is completed by an en-suite shower room, with one bedroom also affording the luxury of a freestanding bathtub within the room.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 14 guests and is offered on a fully catered basis with daily housekeeping.

Location
Chalet Sylvain in Val d'Isère sits in a peaceful location, in the quiet hamlet of Le Fornet.
For access to the Tignes-Val d'Isère ski area, it's only a short 8-minute walk to the Le Fornet cable car. Alternatively, you can make use of the free bus service, with a stop a 2-minute walk up the road, which can whisk you to the main snow front in around 5 minutes. The snow front in the centre of resort has ski school meeting points, a free beginner's chairlift, and the Solaise gondola and Olympique cable car lifts.
The centre of Val d'Isère is a 5-minute drive from Chalet Sylvain, where you will find a wide variety of boutique shops, delightful restaurants and lively bars to discover.

Menus are focused around French and mountain cuisine, with influences from all over the world to keep things fresh and exciting.
A hearty, cooked and continental breakfast awaits you on 5 mornings, with a continental service on the other 2 days. After a long day exploring the slopes, guests are welcomed back to freshly baked cakes or biscuits, a selection of breads & jams, and a range of teas & coffees. Bottled wine curated from a selection of red, white, and rosé is procured to pair with your 4-course evening meals on 6 nights. This operator focuses on quality, easy-drinking wines that complement the menu; any additional upgrades or specific requests can be arranged in advance for an additional cost. Additionally, as part of your pre-arrival concierge service, feel free to discuss any dietary needs and special touches you'd like to include, allowing the chefs to personalise your experience before you arrive!
