The Property

Himalaya 12 presents a unique haven for your luxury ski holiday in Val d'Isere. Converted from a former 17th century French Monastery, this landmark building is situated on the piste of the charming un-spoilt hameau of La Daille in Val d' Isere.

Tactfully integrating the most luxurious modern comforts with time-honoured traditional elements, guests will enter the chalet through a pair of majestic carved antique doors into a white marble and stone hall. These open onto a stylistic paradise where light and dark marble mix with carved and painted wood, glass and stone contrast with abundant furs and antique pieces, to create a seductive ambience which is both impressive and warm.

The colossal fireplace and stunning stone window seats are optimised by ornamental features and modern, state-of-the-art facilities, a previous historical setting where monks would have sat and read until daylight faded. Nowadays, guests have access to ultimate luxury at their fingertips, with a movie screen appearing at the touch of a button. Leading off from the lounge is a separate dining room with ornate table laid and private professional kitchen.

One of the many wow-features of this chalet is the swimming pool, which at the press of a button appears from the floor adjacent to the dining area. The swimming pool is fully depth adjustable and with double doors at the end of the pool, guests can open these up and enjoy a full-length pool both indoors and outdoors. Swim under the stars or fresh falling snow for the ultimate experience. The chalet also has a sauna and massage treatment room, as well as a private Hammam in each bedroom. A cigar lounge is also offered within the chalet.

In total, the chalet sleeps up to 12 guests across six en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom suite features an exquisite hand-made hardwood king size (or twin) beds, enhanced with antique carvings. The suites also boast of relaxation area fireplace, that can be modulated to add to the ambience in each room. The rooms also offer mood-lighting.

All bedroom suites also command en-suite facilities like no other. Central to the room is a large glass encased marble bath, adorned with delicately engraved snowflakes, while the floor of each bath is subtly heated. The bath, of such impressive proportions and features a rain shower and can also convert into a steam room - easily seating up to 4 or more persons.

Himalaya 12 is completely private for your group and is made up of Chalet Himalaya and two additional bedroom suites from Toit du Monde, suitable for sleeping a total of 12 guests (a connecting door on the 2^nd floor of Chalet Himalaya can be removed to give access to the 2 additional suites). For larger groups of up to 16 guests, Domaine Toit du Monde may be a more suited chalet option.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet, for up to 12 guests, to include full gourmet catering, open bar and in-resort chauffeur service. No travel included.

When taken as Himalaya 12, the chalet has 2 extra rooms from the connecting property. The chalet is completely self-contained and there is sufficient space in the dining area for the whole group.
