The Property

Domaine Toit du Monde, a beautiful converted French monastery built in the 17th century, is a luxury ski in/ski out chalet in Val d'Isère. Sleeping up to 16 guests across its 8 bedrooms, this imposing building will dazzle you both with its charming rustic decor and the abundance of modern facilities on offer.

Through the entrance hallway of Domaine Toit du Monde, with its dual-sided fireplace and antique iron doors, you will find the living rooms of the chalet. These two rooms, separated by a marble wall, are both brimming with comfortable furniture to relax besides the individual fireplaces. There are home cinema systems in both rooms that are hidden from view; here the HD screens drop down from the ceiling, adding a contemporary flourish to the thick stone walls and classic wood furniture. There is elegance abound in the dining room, that seats up to 20, where a hand-crafted table and chairs, crystal chandelier and golden framed mirror accentuate the charm of the original monastic features. You will also find a more informal breakfast/tea room which can be used for a buffet style breakfast, afternoon tea or even a space for the younger ones to dine.

Domaine Toit du Monde also has two cigar rooms for guests to choose from. Adorned to look like jewel boxes, made of glass, red marble and with red leather sofas, these two rooms offer up an intimate space to enjoy a cigar, or a refreshing drink, while engaging in conversation about the day's exploits and enjoying some scenic views. On the warmer winter days, you can take the socialising outside onto the extensive outdoor terrace of the chalet.

When staying at Domaine Toit du Monde, you will find yourself well looked after with a wealth of spa facilities available to use. There are two unique state-of-the-art swimming pools. Both these pools start inside the chalet and extend out into the open air and are kept at a constant temperature of 32 degrees. The adjustable depth technology allows you to hide the pool entirely and use the space however you see fit. You will also have the luxury of two saunas and two spa therapy rooms should you wish to indulge in some pampering treatments on return from skiing.

Domaine Toit du Monde has eight double/twin bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and underfloor heating, sleeping up to 16 guests total. You will find four deluxe suites on the first floor of the chalet, while the four grand suites act as duplex suites, spread between the 2nd and 3rd floors. Each bedroom comes with its own fireplace and has been uniquely decorated with antique furnishings and artwork to form a cosy and inviting space. The most impressive feature of all these bedrooms are the 8 en-suite bathrooms. A bathtub carved out of a marble slab is enveloped by glass and marble walls with a rain shower hanging overhead in rooms which can then be easily converted into a hammam for 4 or more people.

Once you ski directly back to the door of Domaine Toit du Monde you will find two dedicated ski rooms with boot heaters in which to store your equipment. There is also garage parking available.

For smaller groups, you can take half of Domaine Toit du Monde as its own chalet, Chalet Toit du Monde, for up to 8 guests.

Prices are for exclusive use of the chalet for up to 16 people with full gourmet catering, complimentary drinks and in-resort driver service included. An extra 4 guests can be accommodated on request, please enquire.
