Apartment Antara encompasses 245m² and utilises this space expertly, most evident within the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area that forms the nucleus of this luxury Swiss rental. The stylish modern lounge is capacious, with extra tall ceilings of natural wood and designer furnishings of brilliant comfort. A log burner fireplace sits towards the end of the lounge, leading towards the large dining table and sleek white kitchen, fully-equipped for all your self catered ski holiday needs. A broad balcony wraps around the main living areas, with outdoor seating and tables, offering an ideal spot for an after-ski apéritif while basking in the last of the day's light and admiring the impressive Eiger peak.
There are four double bedrooms to Apartment Antara, sleeping a total of 8 guests. The bedrooms are airy and welcoming, with skylights that fill the space with natural light and make the bright interiors gleam. There is an open bedroom on the top floor, with a mezzanine balcony that looks down upon the central lounge area. The other three double rooms are found on the same lower floor as the main living spaces, one of which provides direct balcony access. There are four stylish bath and shower rooms to Apartment Antara, three of which are en-suite and one separate from the bedrooms.
The apartment offers plenty of practical facilities for guests to make use of. These include a ski room with boot warmers for equipment storage, access to laundry facilities, two parking spaces within the building's garage, and access to the apartment via an internal elevator.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the apartment for up to 8 guests on a self catered basis with daily housekeeping.
Location
Apartment Antara occupies a fabulous position in the Grindelwald Grund area of resort, a short distance from the slopes and with amazing views of the Eiger.
The duplex apartment is in a brilliant ski position at the foot of the mountains. A short, 7 minute walk will take you from the property to the V-Bahn lift station, where you will find the Grindelwald Grund-Männlichen gondola, Eiger Express cable car and the Grund station of the mountain railway, which will all take you into the Jungfrau ski area. From the top of the Eiger Express at Eigergletscher, or the top station of the train at Kleine Scheidegg, you can then transfer onto the Jungfrau railway to take you up to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe, for some magnificent views and a truly unique experience.
There are a few bars and restaurants at the foot of the slopes, or for a wider selection you can head into the centre of Grindelwald, where you will also find some shops and boutiques. The centre of Grindelwald can be reached in a pleasant 20-25 minute stroll, or alternatively hop on the bus, with the nearest stop just a minute from the apartment's building.
