The Property
Chalet Zen in Zermatt is a fabulous chalet located in this world-class ski resort. Accommodating for up to 10 guests within 4 bedrooms, with a charmingly old-school style and a wonderful outdoor wellness area, Chalet Zen is ideal for groups looking for privacy, comfort, and proximity to skiing in Zermatt.
The chalet offers all the amenities of modern-day living yet has retained its traditional feel Indeed, Chalet Zen is all about old-school luxury, with antique furniture, rugs, and paintings giving it a wonderfully established feel. There are multiple cosy living spaces across the three floors, offering ample space for guests to relax and unwind after a long day on the slopes. The ground-floor common space, a sitting room with bar, allows for relaxed après-ski drinks gathered around a fire to share stories of your adventures of the day. Meanwhile, the living area on the top floor offers a magnificent space for dining and relaxing. Exposed beams and traditional furnishings accentuate the authentic chalet aesthetic that Chalet Zen is known for. The chalet features a large, modern, fully-equipped kitchen, separate from the lounge-dining area, giving you a private space to create culinary delights. There are outdoor terrace and balcony spaces, with the balconies providing guests with majestic views of the Matterhorn.
Chalet Zen's massage room allows for guests to get some targeted treatments after a busy day on the slopes. Out on the terrace, the chalet has a sauna made from a refurbished gondola cabin, as well as a sunken hot tub. Both spa facilities on the terrace allow for guests to rejuvenate in a tranquil and private space.
Chalet Zen hosts up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms. The bedrooms all follow a similar design as the rest of the chalet, flaunting antique furnishings and a traditional style. Plush, comfortable beds provide ample rest, keeping in top form for whatever the mountains have in store for you. Each of the four bedrooms features its own en-suite marble bathroom, three with balconies looking up to the mighty Matterhorn. There is a set of two bunk beds as part of a family suite on the top floor, with two rooms offering double or twin configurations for greater flexibility.
The chalet has its own ski room with boot warmers, laundry facilities, and an internal elevator.
Chalet Zen can also be booked together with Zen Penthouse, found next to the property, for up to 16 guests.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 10 guests and is offered on a self catered basis with daily housekeeping and electro-taxi on arrival/departure to and from the chalet.
The chalet can also be offered on a bed and breakfast basis to include daily continental breakfast, daily housekeeping, and electro-taxi on arrival/departure to and from the chalet.
The chalet can also be offered on a fully catered basis with selected complimentary drinks, daily housekeeping, and electro-taxi on arrival/departure to and from the chalet.

Location
Chalet Zen is a luxury chalet in Zermatt situated in a prime location for skiing, across the road from the main gondola station.
The chalet is ideally situated a 100m walk from the bottom station of the Matterhorn Express gondola, bringing you towards the Klein Matterhorn side of Zermatt's ski area, which is also the location of the glacier skiing and connection over into Cervinia on the Italian side of the Matterhorn Ski Paradise. You will also find the Furi-Riffelberg gondola up the first station of the Matterhorn Express, which brings you over to the Gornergrat area for skiing. At the end of the day, you can ski down to within 100m of the chalet via the red Blatten piste.
While there is a selection of bars and restaurants located by the gondola station, for a wider selection of lively bars, gourmet and Michelin Star restaurants, museums, local shops, and luxury boutiques, you will want to head into the centre of town. The Bahnhofstrasse is the main high street, which you can reach the top of via a 7-minute walk. Free buses also run around the resort, with a bus stop across the road from the chalet.

With Zermatt being a car-free resort, the chalet has arranged for a pickup and drop-off via electro-taxi on arrival and departure.
Taking the chalet as a luxury self-catered accommodation, guests have the flexibility to explore all that the resort of Zermatt has to offer and make the most of the chalet's facilities. Comfort is assured the moment you are met and welcomed into your private chalet by the very experienced manager, who will act as your personal concierge during your stay at Chalet Zen. A champagne welcome and introduction of the chalet alongside a tour to familiarise guests will set the tone of your stay. Expect daily housekeeping, mid-week linen change, and luxury bathroom toiletries to be included in this package.
Alternatively, treat yourself with a bed & breakfast package to elevate your mountain experience. As part of this experience, guests will enjoy a continental breakfast on a self-serve basis and benefit from daily housekeeping. Both self-catered and bed and breakfast service levels offer the option for a catered dinner service with a private chef, which can be added for additional cost.
For guests who enjoy the finer things in life, the catered service adds a complete chalet experience to your visit to Zermatt.
