The Property
Chalet Black Rock is an alpine-luxe 5-bedroom chalet in Chamonix, welcoming groups of 8 adults and 2 children. The chalet combines the alpine charm of the classic Haute-Savoie mountain retreat with modern elements, and includes a hot tub, sauna, and gorgeous views.
The chalet utilises noble wood materials and crisp white painted walls, alongside luxury furnishings, to create a spectacular design. You are greeted by an incredibly spacious open-plan living space, consisting of a main lounge, dining area, and fully-fitted kitchen. Double height, vaulted ceilings and exposed beams pay homage to the old mountain refuge heritage of Chamonix. The south facing floor-to-ceiling windows frame Mont Blanc and Aiguille du Midi for guests to enjoy as they rest on the plush, inviting sofas after a long day on the slopes. A roaring fireplace warms your toes as you share stories from your adventures of the day, the contrasting colour of the fireplace almost makes it seem like an art installation rather than a functioning feature of the chalet. The dining table allows for social meals, be it a family dinner as the stars shine through the large windows, or an early breakfast as the valley wakes up. Sliding glass doors open up to a more intimate viewing experience on the chalet's terrace area.
Chalet Black Rock's soothing sauna is sure to work its magic on guests. A rejuvenating session works a treat for your muscles after a tough day on the slopes. The highlight of the wellness options, though, is the outdoor hot tub, where admiring the majestic mountain views after skiing, or soaking under the stars is a wonderful way to finish a high energy day. For guests looking for a quiet escape, a separate TV room on the same floor as the sauna offers a sanctuary to catch up on your favourite show, or set up a family movie night to pass the time.
Chalet Black Rock accommodates 8 adults and 2 children within 5 beautiful bedrooms. The bedrooms blend the rustic alpine charm of wood interiors and exposed beams with contemporary furniture and plush bedding. A selection of the rooms make use of skylights to create a more spacious vibe. There are four en-suite double bedrooms, along with a children's bunk room which has an independent shower room on its lower ground level available for guest use.
For added convenience, a ski room with boot warmers is available for guest use, as well as laundry facilities. There is also garage and outdoor parking with an EV charging point.
Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for 10 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis.
Please note, the chalet only offers pre-arrival assistance and in-resort concierge services when you opt into a concierge package. Should you opt in, additional services will be able to be arranged for you on request. (Package upgrades also available).
Location
Chalet Black Rock sits in a coveted location, nestled in the Les Bois area of Chamonix. The south-facing chalet offers majestic views of Mont Blanc and Aiguille du Midi, offering a quiet escape from the ever energetic centre of Chamonix.
A 4-minute drive brings you from the chalet to La Flégère lift station, taking you up towards the Brévent-Flégère ski area. Argentière's Grand Montets ski area can be accessed via the Plan Joran lift, found under a 10-minute drive away, whilst Le Tour is an additional 5 minutes' drive. In the other direction, the skiing in Les Houches is a 16-minute drive away.
The centre of Chamonix offers a range of amenities which can be reached within an 7-minute drive. These amenities include fine-dining, modern, and local restaurants, lively après-ski bars, and a variety of shops. There are also tourist attractions such as the Aiguille du Midi cable car. There are bus stops within a few minutes walk of the property, and two train stations around 800m away, to help travel around the valley more easily.

At this luxury property, a concierge service is available on an opt-in basis. Should you wish for some form of pre-arrival and in-resort assistance, there are three levels of services available to you:
The Snow Pass covers your ski essentials, including the organisation of ski passes delivered to your accommodation and ski equipment hire for the duration of your holiday.
The Booking Pass includes everything that the Snow Pass does, with further assistance in booking numerous activities. From restaurant reservations on the mountain and in resort, to all important ski lessons for members of your party, and the organisation of grocery and bakery deliveries, the Booking Pass will have you covered. The team will also help with transfers to and from resort, arranging childcare for families with children, and booking of other non-skiing activities.
The most comprehensive option, the Serenity Pass, covers the first two passes alongside any additional chalet services. Catering options such as meal deliveries, private chefs, and butler services, as well as private transport options during your holiday can be arranged with the Serenity Pass.
Please note, additional cleaning services can be added without the need for any of the passes. The concierge passes allow for assistance with these services, but extra charges for these additional services will still apply. You can opt-in to or upgrade the concierge services at any time before or during your holiday, but for the optimum assistance, it is recommended you do so at the time of booking, so your in-resort team can best meet your requirements.
