Chalet Kuma in Chamonix is a luxury ski in/ski out chalet in the Les Houches area of the valley, boasting 372m² of stylish alpine living space. The chalet houses up to 12 guests across 5 bedrooms, incudes a beautiful spa area with swimming pool, and offers up incredible views of the Mont Blanc Massif.
On the first floor of Chalet Kuma, you are welcomed with a large, open living area. The living spaces are soaked in natural light from the large windows and skylights, while a fireplace acts as a hearth to the chalet's spacious lounge, creating a warm and soothing atmosphere. The dining room and kitchen are in one connected space, allowing a sociable atmosphere between guests relaxing while the appointed group chef creates culinary masterpieces for the group. The living areas provide access to a sizeable balcony, allowing you to marvel at views of Mont Blanc and the Fiz mountain range with an evening glass of wine, or perhaps a morning coffee before heading down the slopes.
The lower ground floor hosts all of Chalet Kuma's spa and wellness amenities. These include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and Hammam, all connected via the relaxation area. The design of this area, with its stone interiors, makes you feel like you are one with the mountains. The swimming pool also benefits from relaxing massage jets and a counter current feature to swim against.
Chalet Kuma also benefits from a separate TV lounge. This provides a second space away from the main lounge, ideal for a movie night or to set up board games after dinner. Another fireplace in this room helps keep you warm and toasty on those chillier winter nights.
Chalet Kuma can welcome up to 12 guests across its five bedrooms. Between their light wooden interiors and comfortable, inviting beds, these rooms provide a feel of modern alpine elegance. The top floor is entirely dedicated to a generously-sized master suite, complete with private balconies that offer the best views from anywhere in the chalet. There are three further double bedrooms, as well as a bunk bedroom with adult-sized bunk beds. The four double bedrooms are accompanied by pristine en-suite bath or shower rooms.
The chalet has its own ski room, a laundry room, and a garage for parking.
Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and is offered with full gourmet catering, open drinks bar and daily housekeeping.
The chalet is also offered on a self-catered basis with regular housekeeping (every other day).
Chalet Kuma occupies a ski-in/ski-out location, directly on the famous Kandahar ski piste of Les Houches in the Chamonix valley, with beautiful views of the entire Mont Blanc Massif all year round.
The Chalet is ski-in/ski-out along the World cup Kandahar black ski piste, from which you can ski down to the bottom of the Bellevue cable car, from there the whole valley is accessible. Alternatively, this cable car is about an 8 minute drive, or you can reach the Prarion gondola in 6 minutes by car, where you will find the beginners area at the top.
A 10 minute drive from Chalet Kuma will take you into the centre of Les Houches where you will find a moderate selection of shops and highly rated restaurants. The bars in the centre of Chamonix are a 10-15 minute drive away, while the famous Aiguile du Midi cable car is about the same time away by car.
