The Property
Chalet Chovettaz is a purpose built luxury ski chalet situated in the beautiful Alpine resort of Les Contamines-Montjoie, just 1 hour from Geneva.
The chalet has been beautifully appointed and offers 7 luxurious double or twin guest rooms (4 bedrooms upstairs and 3 in an apartment area downstairs), with ensuite or private facilities in five rooms and the other three sharing facilities. One of the bedrooms is available as a family suite, with a mezzannine level with 2 beds. There is then an additional bunk room for 2 people in the downstairs apartment. Special rates apply to children.
All the bedrooms enjoy fantastic mountain views. Fluffy towels and bathrobes, complimentary Elemis toiletries, hairdriers, CD players, fresh bottled water and flowers all add to the feeling of being pampered. Nothing is too much trouble for us and your experienced and caring resident staff will do all they can to make your holiday a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
On your first evening welcome cocktails are served around one of our two large open fires and a scrumptious four-course dinner, with wine, is served in our beautiful dining room. This sets the scene for the rest of your stay. A full breakfast, including a cooked option, is offered. When you return from the slopes there is a delicious tea awaiting you – freshly baked cakes and a selection of hot drinks. Fiona and her assistant have one evening off when dinner is not served in the chalet. We are very happy to recommend and reserve tables at our favourite restaurants for you on that evening.
We love having children to stay, hence the inclusion of family facilities. Cots and high chairs are available as are special menus for our young gourmands! If children wish to have an early supper then this can be arranged. Although we have spared no expense in building and fitting out Chalet Chovettaz it has retained the feeling of being very much a family home.
Prices are per person based on two sharing and include in-resort driver service, and full gourmet catering service .
Location
Chalet Chovettaz is located in the charming village of Les Contamines-Montjoie, hidden up a secret valley, nestling under the massif of Mont Blanc.
Well known to the locals as THE place to ski if snow conditions are difficult, it is just south of Chamonix, Les Houches and Saint-Gervais. Sandwiched between Megeve and Mont Blanc, and just north of Italy!
The chalet lies a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre and is a 5 minute drive to the main ski lifts in resort.
Room Layout
Main Level:
Bedroom 1:
A calm twin or zip n link superking double room with ensuite bathroom (shower over the bath) and views towards the Mont Blanc massif. This room has space for a cot or additional fold down bed.
Upper Level:
Bedroom 2:
Twin or Superking Sized Double Room with mezzanine level containing two 2’6” beds and restricted head height. Ensuite bathroom with shower over bath. Views towards village and Mont Blanc massif. This room is suitable for a family of 4, however, due to the ladder access to the mezzanine level age restrictions apply.
Bedroom 3:
Twin or Superking double room. Ensuite bathroom with shower over bath. Balcony with views towards village and Mont Blanc massif.
Bed 4:
This small but charming room has a double bed with access to its own private balcony. The private shower and toilet is not ensuite but immediately adjacent to the room.
