Chalet Balthus is a luxury chalet in Megève for up to 10 adults and 2 children, a private chalet that forms part of the luxurious Alpaga Hotel. Characterised by a rustic charm that perfectly exemplifies the authentic village of Megève, the chalet offers a cosy retreat for its guests whilst also providing full access to the 5* facilities of the hotel and its spa.
Covering three floors and 255m², Chalet Balthus is a welcoming, homely mountain home, well-equipped for groups of 12 guests on a luxury ski holiday in Megève. The middle of its three floors is home to the open-plan main living spaces. Wood cladding fosters an authentic alpine atmosphere, while plush furnishings add an element of style and luxury. A central fireplace gives warmth to the central lounge on one side and the chalet's formal dining space on the other. The kitchen seamlessly integrates into the rustic style of the interiors, although it still comes fully-equipped with all the modern appliances, while also enjoying a spacious breakfast bar. More lounge seating can be used to relax upon, tucked in the corner off from the kitchen.
Chalet Balthus enjoys an expansive balcony that wraps around the main lounge area, featuring a table and chairs that are perfect for enjoying an après ski drink around. Enjoy the peace and privacy of this quaint hamlet of chalets further in the private garden space a floor below.
The bedrooms of Chalet Balthus exhibit an authentic alpine style that is prevalent throughout the rest of the chalet. A Master suite is located on the top floor, with its own private balcony. There are four further double bedrooms, one of which is found in a self-contained studio apartment, which also includes a hidden away, enclosed bed for children. This studio apartment is ideal for a small family group or anyone looking for some extra privacy.
When staying at Chalet Balthus, guests will also have access to the magical facilities and spa of the 5* Alpaga Hotel. These include the hotel's spa, which features a relaxing leisure pool with massage jets, in addition to a charming traditional outdoor cedar wood hot tub and barrel sauna. There is also a Hammam, gym and three treatment rooms. The hotel's highlight though is assuredly its 1-Michelin Star restaurant, La Table de l'Alpaga. Any corporate groups would be well looked after too, with the hotel featuring a seminar room, and Chalet Balthus being just one of 6 chalets that can be taken alongside the rooms at the hotel.

Location
Chalet Balthus is in a small hamlet of six chalet adjacent as part of the Alpaga Hotel. Offering the privacy and peace of the outskirts of resort, the Alpaga Hotel is just 5 minutes drive to take you into the busy centre of Megève, a charming village centre with a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops.
For skiing purposes, you can reach a number of lift stations in which to start your day, all in a similar amount of time. The Chamois gondola, near the centre of Megève, is about a 6 minute drive away, while the Rochebrune cable car is about 7 minutes drive. For skiing on the Le Jaillet side, you can reach the Jaillet gondola in about 6 minutes by car or shuttle.
Praz sur Arly, part of the Espace Diamant, is a separate ski area to that of Megève's, but the slopes of which can be reached in a similar 7 minute drive.
