The Property
Chalet du Chene is a beautiful, artisan built, green oak chalet, the only one in Morzine. The amazing oak frame is visible throughout the chalet and provides this chalet with a character of its own. With 5 en-suite bedrooms this chalet is ideal for family and friend groups and can sleep up to 13 guests in total.
With a split-level design, there is a degree of separation to bedrooms and reception rooms. Chalet du Chene is full of character. The ground floor open-plan living area has been professionally designed with an entrance lobby, dining area and a large living room with open fire, furnished with traditional and quality fixtures and fittings.
Designer wallpaper and fabrics are visible throughout the chalet. Colefax and Fowlers and Andrew Martin’s wallpapers feature in the living area along with Sanderson fabrics, which blend beautifully with the slate and solid oak wood flooring.
The main living floor has large French doors leading out onto the stone terrace where you will find the outdoor Jacuzzi for a perfect moment of relaxation after a long day skiing.
In the basement, there is a games room with pool table, bar area and piano as well as a separate TV lounge with soft seating for watching films or playing games- a perfect hideaway for the kids or added entertainment in the evenings.
On the upper three split-levels are the bedrooms. Each has been carefully designed and includes beautiful wool carpets and full ‘black out’ lined curtains or blinds. Each bathroom is unique and includes full sized baths, overhead showers with stone carved sinks and one-off designs as well as luxury hotel quality linen with feather duvets and pillows (there are hypo-allergenic pillows and duvets available too). In the bathrooms are hairdryers, bath and hand towels and bath/shower/hair products from Faith in Nature.
The prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 10 adults and 3 children and is offered on a fully catered basis with in resort lift drop service.
During off peak weeks, the chalet is available on a room by room basis or for shorter stays. Prices on these weeks are per person, based on two people sharing a room.
Location
Chalet du Chene is situated on a plateau with fantastic views and it is on a private no-through lane offering a peaceful location.
The chalet sits just 300 metres from two frequently running ski buses and easy access to local services. Morzine is a 25 minute flat, well-lit walk, although there are buses and the chauffeur service as well which give plenty of options for those considering après-ski or early ski finishes. The nearest lift is the Super Morzine which is just a 5 minute drive away from the chalet.
