The Property

One of the leading hotels in the world, the magical and majestic Gstaad Palace overlooks the surrounding Saanenland and towers above the charming mountain village of Gstaad. Like a fairytale castle rising from the forest, this 5* luxury hotel in the Bernese Oberland has been enchanting guests for over 100 years. The hotel stands out not just for its uniquely special and glamorous location but also for the expert hospitality that delivers a personal touch. Having remained in the Scherz family for three generations, tradition and excellence go hand in hand at the Gstaad Palace. Sustainability, a harmonious relationship with the surrounding natural landscape, discretion and cordiality go alongside these as core values of this Swiss luxury hotel.

There are a total of 90 rooms and suites that make up the Gstaad Palace, each with a signature style and exuding alpine elegance. They are all furnished to the highest standards of comfort and offer an exceptional level of luxury. Unbeatable panoramic mountain views can be enjoyed from each of the rooms. Many of the different suites and rooms on offer can be combined for larger groups, you even have the ability to rent out an entire floor. The highlight is the three-bedroom Penthouse, with 360° views from the rooftop terrace with hot tub, and a private sauna in the castle turret.

Not just a magical spot for a luxury ski holiday, Gstaad Palace is an oasis for wellness and relaxation. A spa covering an immense 1,800m² comes with a wealth of facilities and natural treatments and massages to indulge in. Mountain views, log fires and the use of granite from the nearby Lake Blausee foster an environment of serenity. An indoor pool, sauna, Hammam, outdoor jacuzzi and relaxation room provide relaxing spaces to unwind with a private spa being available for those looking to experience total tranquility. For those more workout-minded guests, a fitness and pilates room can also be utilised.

Haute cuisine without the pretension, the food at the Gstaad Palace uses the very best local ingredients with international inspirations, Asian influences and a dash of Mediterranean flair. There are several different restaurants at Gstaad Palace to choose between. From to-die for truffles champagne cheese fondue at La Fromagerie to the 16 Gault Millau point restaurant Le Grill, where you can watch your meal being prepared, there is much on offer here. The international cuisine at Le Grand Restaurant is as delicious as it is picturesque and Gildo's Ristorante, named after the hotel's Maitre D' who worked at the Gstaad Palace for nearly 50 years, is famous for its authentic Italian cuisine. Unwind in the evenings or after skiing with drinks in the stylish Lobby Bar. Live music and bar food can also be enjoyed here. And if you're looking to party the night away, Gstaad Palace is home to the ebullient GreenGo nightclub, with interiors reminiscent of the discotheques of the 70s.

The Gstaad Palace opens its doors and provides a warm welcome to families, with special entertainment provided for children. VIK parties (for Very Important Kids) take place between Christmas and New Year with lots of other activities on offer throughout the winter, as well as a winter wonderland themed playroom and playing in snow in the Gstaad Palace garden.

Gstaad Palace is comprehensive in its event infrastructure, with spaces available for small conference meetings all the way up to grand wedding celebrations. Several conference rooms of various sizes, all with state-of-the-art facilities, make this a perfect place for a corporate getaway. On the other end of the spectrum, with the hotel's bewitching charm and unparalleled beauty, this is the ideal spot for celebrations of all sizes, from birthday milestones to stunning banquets hosted in the vast ballroom with glistening crystal chandeliers.
