The Property
Zermatt's Chalet Matten provides accommodation for 6 guests, this exquisite 130m², second floor apartment is centrally located and has stunning views of the Matterhorn and over the village of Zermatt.
Fusing contemporary and classical Alpine design with the spirit of the mountains, Chalet Matten evokes a feeling of peace and tranquillity in the exclusive Alpine village of Zermatt.
The lounge has a light and cosy living area with comfortable sofas and beautiful views towards the Matterhorn. There is a large oak table that can seat 6 comfortably, which is central to a modern and fully equipped kitchen. This apartment is spacious, opulent and offers the comfort of a home-from-home.
The bedrooms can be set up as double or twin to accommodate your group configuration. The rooms are elegantly decorated with a modern and fresh feel. Each room has subtle lighting, underfloor heating and a TV. The two bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms, one with a shower cubicle and the other with a bath and hand-held shower.
On the ground floor you have access to the shared fitness facilities and massage room where an in-house therapist can offer Swedish massage, Indian head massage as well as manicures, pedicures and facials. Through the fitness room, you will also have access to the shared outdoor Jacuzzi, where you can recover your ski muscles after a day out on the slopes. On this floor there is also a fully equipped laundry room and a ski room. The apartment has been luxuriously finished to cater for your every need and can be accessed by stairs or lift.
For larger groups, you can rent Chalet Matten alongside any of the other apartments in Chalet Valeria. This includes Apartment Lys (sleeps 4), Chalet Petit (Sleeps 6) or Aria Penthouse (Sleeps 8).
The price is for exclusive use of the apartment for up to 6 guests on a self-catered basis. Catering is possible, please enquire for details.
Location
Chalet Matten is located in a residential corner of Zermatt, just a short distance from the centre of the village. There is a local convenience store, bakery and choice of local bars and restaurants just 250m from the chalet (3-4mins walk away) while the main hub of the village at the church square, Matterhorn museum and main high street, Bahnhofstrasse, are 7 minutes walk away.
For access to the skiing, the Klein Matterhorn Lift is 7-10 minutes walk or a 2-minute shuttle with the resort e-bus. Ski lockers are available to hire for your holiday duration at the gondola station, should you prefer to keep your equipment ready and waiting for you at the lift.

Services
As dedicated, hand-picked professionals we and the team are on call to assist you with your holiday requirements. We can organise restaurant bookings, ski passes, ski school, Spa treatments, a para-gliding flight or a shopping trip to Milan, much of this can be done prior to your arrival. We will visit the chalets and apartments during the week to deliver up to date weather reports and ensure your needs are met.
We will meet you on your arrival in resort and escort you to your chalet, we will then accompany you to the ski hire shop to assist with ski and boot fitting.
Self catered service includes a fridge filling service prior to arrival so that you have your required groceries at the chalet. Simply email or telephone us with your shopping list and this will be bought on your behalf, we will then ask you to re-imburse us on arrival in resort.
Concierge service is of course offered throughout your stay. Bathrobes, towels and linen provided, as well as luxury bathroom products and hair dryers.
