The Property
Chalet Mckinley is a luxury chalet in Zermatt, covering 692m² and sleeping up to 10 guests. Reclaimed wooden interiors marry harmoniously with homely, inviting furnishings, while the likes of an expertly-equipped spa area, a fantastic location, and stupendous Matterhorn views all serve to add a touch of ultimate luxury to the property.
Chalet Mckinley's top floor living space is a quintessential example of luxury design that remains true to the alpine roots. The rough wood vaulted ceiling, the exposed brick running up along the feature fireplace in the centre of the room, and the expansive windows showcasing the pretty snowy resort of Zermatt are all a sight to behold. The main living area has been smartly furnished, with inviting lounge sofas running along one side of the room and a sophisticated dining table to the other. The kitchen sits open-plan with the rest of the space, with a large kitchen island and pleasant, sharp design. A balcony at the far end of the living space offers the perfect place to relax with a drink in hand as you enjoy the sights of the Matterhorn before you and the susurrating sounds of the Matter Vispa river below.
One floor down from the living areas, Chalet Mckinley houses its excellent spa area, a fantastic way to help you unwind after a day of exploring the mountains, or for enjoying a relaxing spa afternoon on bad weather days. Subtle lighting and comforting loungers set the atmosphere, whilst the giant sunken hot tub, sauna, and Hammam provide the perfect comfort for tired ski legs. A plunge pool and shower are also located here, helping you cool off between rejuvenating wellness sessions, with a private massage room for bespoke treatments.
Another floor down and Chalet Mckinley houses a charming TV lounge/playroom, a great feature for any families staying at the chalet. There are two TVs in here, back to back, with an inviting sofa on one side and snug bunk beds on the other. There's also a mini table tennis setup.
Chalet Mckinley can sleep up to 10 guests, spread across five double bedrooms situated on the middle two floors of the chalet. Clad in wood and traditionally furnished, the beds invite you to sink into their comforting arms and get a restful sleep to leave you feeling refreshed for the following day of skiing in Zermatt. All rooms have the luxury of balconies, with prime views towards the Matterhorn, and all bedrooms are completed by en-suites.
The chalet has an elevator between its four floors, as well as a ski room with boot warmers and laundry facilities.
Guests of the chalet also have access to a shared gym with plenty of cardio and weight machines. As part of the 7 Heavens complex, there is also a stylish contemporary bar and lounge, with a pool table for added fun.
Chalet Mckinley is one of the chalets available to rent within the 7 Heavens development, meaning larger groups can rent it in conjunction with the other chalets of the building. These are the plush Chalet Elbrus (sleeps 12), and the inviting Chalet Denali (sleeps 10).
Prices are based on exclusive occupancy of the chalet for up to 10 guests and is offered with full staff services including a professional chef, chalet manager, hosting/housekeeper team and in-resort electro-taxi on arrival & departure. Food and drink are charged in addition, at cost price plus the local applicable VAT.
