Chalet Petit Pilou is a luxury chalet in Zermatt, a homely, inviting property that can welcome up to 7 guests across four cosy bedrooms. With a peaceful location, fabulous Matterhorn views, and delightful terrace areas, the chalet is a great option for a smaller group of friends.
The chalet is accessed via a set of roughly 150 steps, which gives this 236m² property an elevated position with mesmerising valley views. Chalet Petit Pilou is set across three levels, with the main living areas found on its middle level. Stately wood-panelled interiors and sumptuous grey furnishings make up the main lounge, providing a welcoming space for guests to unwind. An open fireplace helps foster a cosy atmosphere, with a magnificent Matterhorn view spied through the traditional French windows. Beyond the main lounge, the chalet features an elegant dining space, with a marble-top dining table surrounded by a mix of contemporary chairs and banquette seating, seating 10 guests. The dining space can also be enclosed with glass doors for a more intimate dining experience. A homey kitchen is found adjacent to the dining space, fully-equipped and with plentiful work space to prepare home-cooked meals. Chalet Petit Pilou benefits from both a balcony and terrace, perfectly positioned to make the most of the impressive Matterhorn views.
Outside on the main terrace of Chalet Petit Pilou, a ski gondola cabin has been retrofitted into an outdoor sauna. The sauna provides a delightful spot for guests to unwind after a busy day on the mountains skiing in Zermatt.
There are four bedrooms to Chalet Petit Pilou, sleeping up to a total of 7 guests. The design of the bedrooms mimic that of the living spaces, with an understated style of cosy luxury. There are three double bedrooms, and one single bedroom with an intimate living space that operates perfectly as a reading nook. There are private bath or shower facilities for the two double bedrooms on the top floor, while the double and single bedroom on the lower floor share a shower room.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 7 guests and is offered on a self catered basis with daily housekeeping, mid-week towel change and in-resort electro-taxi on arrival & departure.

Location
Chalet Petit Pilou is a luxury chalet in Zermatt, occupying a peaceful location outside the centre and wonderful Matterhorn views. The chalet is accessible only by foot, with it taking about a 10-minute walk, up approximately 150 steps from the Wallisertube restaurant in Zermatt.
The closest ski lift to the chalet is the Sunnegga funicular, located about 9-minutes walk downhill from the chalet. The Gornergrat Bahn mountain train by the main Zermatt train station can also be used to access Zermatt's ski area, which is roughly 11-minutes walk. Alternatively, take an electro-taxi or electro-bus across town, with a roughly 5-minute journey bringing you to the Matterhorn Express gondola.
The main high street running through the centre of Zermatt features plenty of boutique and souvenir shops, lively bars, and delightful restaurants. You can reach the main high street in about 12 minutes from Chalet Petit Pilou.
