The Property

Horu Lodge in Zermatt is a luxury apartment for 8 guests, offering up an elegant alpine home with four stylish bedrooms in a prime ski location near to the gondola. The property also comes with a generous assortment of shared wellness facilities, which include an indoor swimming pool, a rare feature amongst the luxury Zermatt rental market.

Horu Lodge is set across three levels, with its top floor housing the main living areas of the property. This top floor has an open-plan design, and sits beneath a vaulted wooden ceiling. Sleek alpine woods are complemented by contemporary luxury furnishings to wonderful effect, while the picture windows frame beautiful Matterhorn views and let in plenty of natural light. Across the top floor, you will enjoy marvellous relaxation in the cosy lounge, complete with a feature fireplace to stave away the chilly winter evenings. There's an elegant dining space for mealtimes together, while a fully-equipped fitted kitchen has all you could need to whip up a satisfying meal. From the lounge and dining area, guests of Horu Lodge will have access to a balcony, the perfect spot for an après-ski apéritif in the majestic view of the iconic Matterhorn peak.

There is space for a total of 8 guests at Horu Lodge, accommodated across four double/twin bedrooms. The bedrooms have a classy, modern style, with plush, inviting beds, soft carpets, and stylish interiors. These rooms are evenly split between the first and second floor of the property, with two providing en-suite bathrooms and the other two completed by separate shower rooms.

A main highlight of a luxury holiday to Zermatt at Horu Lodge is the use of the shared spa and wellness area within the basement of the lodge building. The spa area features an indoor swimming pool, a seldom-seen feature for Zermatt accommodation. The pool has swim jets, and is surrounded by comforting loungers. In addition, you can unwind with revitalising stints in the outdoor hot tub, or the heat of the sauna and steam room. The wellness space even features a small gym, as well as a massage room for any private, bespoke treatments.

Elevator access is available to all floors of Horu Lodge. The lodge building features a communal entrance, where you will find a welcoming lounge with fireplace, a separate ski room with boot warmers, and an office area available for private rental.

Larger groups can be easily accommodated when combining Horu Lodge with any of the other luxurious properties within its building. These include Dufourspitz Lodge (sleeps 10), Lyskamm Lodge (sleeps 8-9), and Tête Blanche Lodge (sleeps 4-5). There are also two smaller one-bedroom apartments on offer, the El Alamein Suite (sleeps 2-3) and Gerwetsch Suite (sleeps 2).

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the apartment for up to 8 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with meet and greet at Zermatt station and transport to the chalet.
