This magnificent five-star chalet is nestled in La Salle Les Alpes, a mountain village dating back to the thirteenth century, in the heart of the Serre-Chevalier ski resort, Chalet Grande Ourse benefits from a southern exposure overlooking Serre Chevalier's main ski slopes.

Sleeping up to 13 guests (10 adults + 3 children) in five individually designed bedrooms, each with its own balcony and ensuite bathroom, Chalet Grande Ourse features a large and bright living room with a striking fireplace creating warmth and coziness. Overlooked by a galleried snooker lounge, it is surrounded by wide bay windows and a vast terrace looking up to snow-capped peaks with fabulous views. It has a large private garden for playing in the snow.

Ideal for families and small groups, this 380 square metre chalet has outstanding facilities: relaxation room with sauna, private gym, cinema room, study, wireless internet access from all the rooms, snooker, balcony, etc.

The carpenters that built the chalet all worked using techniques that stem from the Middle Ages, transmitted from master to apprentice through the times. The result is amazing. The beams are held together with wooden pegs, the architectural golden rule has been used everywhere, every single detail just breathes design and art. The owners wanted to create a home from home with a lived-in feeling as opposed to soulless holiday home. It has worked. Tasteful rather than ostentatiously luxurious, the house changes personality with the season and throughout the day as the sun moves from East to West.
