Skiing in Brunico
Situated in the heart of the Dolomites, Brunico is the hub of the Puster Valley. The main ski area is the Kronplatz which is considered to be the best in the South Tyrol. The resort boasts state of the art lifts and has excellent slope grooming. Beginners will enjoy their own gondola, great equipment and superb ski school, intermediates and advanced gliders will enjoy the firm, smooth snow with excellent slopes perfect for carving. Try the run down to Olang from the top of the mountain, or explore Europe's biggest cross country trail which comprises of about 100 Km's in total (200Km's in Kronplatz) and are suitable for all. There is a Krone World for the kids, and perfect conditions and lay-out for all boarders.
The ski resorts of Kronplatz and Alta Badia are connected. A free ski bus goes every 20 minutes from one ski resort to the other. For this service you need the ski pass Dolomiti Superski.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, it is possible to ski cross-country and there is an ice skating rink in the town centre.
