The Ski in Luxury team posts an average of 10 ski related videos a week on our Facebook page to educate, entertain and inspire our followers. The videos have made us laugh, cry, shake in our computer chairs and feel rather nauseous on more than one occasion!
Now that we are at the end of another successful ski season, we want our followers to vote for their favourite ski related video of the 15/16 season! And the nominees are….
1. Skiing in Colour – Marcel Hirscher
Reminiscent of the Sony Bravia paint advert, alpine skier Marcel Hirscher took a day off from winning the World Cup title four years in a row and had some fun at his local resort with a skidoo and some crazy colors, resulting in one of the most vibrant ski runs to date!
2. Ski Dog – Crusoe the Wiener Dog Loves Skiing
Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund, is a miniature wiener dog and has soared to stardom purely for….well being a miniature dog that dresses up and travels the world. Kitted out in all the ski gear (and no idea of how adorable he looks) we follow Crusoe skiing at the Vallee Bleue in Quebec. Check out his official Facebook page for more amazing videos.

3. Felix Usterud – Mondays
Felix Stridsberg Usterud is a 21 year old professional freeskier from Norway. A few months ago the adrenaline junkie posted a video called ‘Fridays’ showing him drinking a cup of coffee before skiing off the roof of his home. We chose ‘Mondays’ for the shock reaction it caused in the office at the time of posting. We’d like to say fair play to Felix for his daredevil antics, we won’t be copying them anytime soon!
4. The Top of the Matterhorn – Nicolas Falquet
GoPro run a seasonal competition called Line of the Winter with amateurs and professionals of the ski and snowboard world submitting their best videos for a chance of winning a prize fund of $20,000 at the end of the season. Nicolas Falquet’s video shows him precariously navigating a series of snow ledges before literally throwing himself off one of the world’s most iconic mountains, the Matterhorn in Zermatt. It is safe to say this video had everyone in the office feeling rather nauseous!
5. Snowboarder Girl Chased by a Bear! – Kelly Murphy
The 9th April 2016 seemed like a normal day at the winter sports park of Hakuba 47 in Japan for snowboarder Kelly Murphy. With earplugs in and Rihanna playing, she was unknowingly ‘work, work, working hard’ to avoid being inquisitively eaten. It was only when Kelly looked back through video footage that she saw the BEAR in the background!
6. One of Those Days 3 – Candide Thovex
Our best ski videos line up just wouldn’t be complete without Candide Thovex. For anyone in the winter sports industry, the name speaks for itself. For everyone else, the French professional skier, filmmaker and entrepreneur is known for his creativity to the sport of freestyle skiing. As a result he has professionally won numerous contests and accolades. Candide Thovex has so many amazing and inspiring videos it is hard to choose, but One of Those Days 3 is the third in a sequal of awesome skiing videos and graced our social media screens this season. A great video to end on!
