As the 2025/26 winter season approaches, Courchevel once again raises the bar for luxury ski holidays, blending superb skiing infrastructure with high-end hospitality and elegance. If you’re seeking an alpine escape where every detail is finely tuned, here’s the latest you need to know before your ski holiday to Courchevel this winter.
The Peak of Skiing Excellence
Brand New Chenus Gondola
The iconic Chenus Gondola is undergoing a complete overhaul for winter 2025/26; the former lift is being replaced by a high-speed, 10-seater cabin system developed by POMA, capable of transporting up to 2,400 guests per hour.
What’s more, the departure station has been relocated to the snow front in Courchevel 1850, easing congestion around the busy Verdons zone and making access significantly easier. Sustainability lies at the core of the upgrade: solar panels cover the upper station, a rainwater-recovery system is built in, and fewer pylons (11 instead of 15) means a gentler footprint on the mountain. At the top, you’ll find new amenities: a heated picnic room, larger arrival station and a panoramic terrace.
A Focus on Beginner Skiers & Families
The resort’s “Jardin l’Enfants” area has been entirely revamped for the season. New gentle slopes plus three new magic carpets have improved this part of the mountain for first-timers and families. It’s now an especially welcome facility for visitors at the start of their skiing journey.
More Fun at the Top
The Carabosse fun zone has been relocated to the top of the Signal chairlift at the peak of the Courchevel 1650 ski area. Previously tucked away halfway down the mountain, the fun has now reached new heights while also being more accessible. A new green piste called Parlinette has replaced the old fun zone, adding to a sector that’s a haven for beginner skiers looking to progress their skills, thanks to a network of green and blue pistes all the way down into the resort.

New Heights of Exceptional Gastronomy

Discover a new restaurant at the L’Apogée Hotel this winter, where the international Beefbar concept brings its upscale steakhouse flair to Courchevel 1850. Guests can expect exceptional meats from across the globe in an atmosphere of contemporary elegance.
Celebrating Italy, in the French Alps
La Bokka restaurant is new in Courchevel Moriond this winter and is set to impress. Italian hospitality and culinary flare has made itself at home in the centre of the village. Where each dinner becomes a celebration in a venue exuding the warmth of authentic Italy, guests will be treated to exceptional pizza and pasta beautifully blended with mountain flavours.
Celebrating the Past & Looking to the Future
This winter Courchevel 1850 celebrates its 80th birthday, and they are hosting a number of events throughout the winter to celebrate the milestone. Established in 1946, Courchevel 1850 has been synonymous with skiing excellence for almost a century. Continual improvements with a focus on skier experience and untapped luxury reflect this heritage.
As the resort looks to step into the future, visitors can expect this commitment to quality to continue, especially with Courchevel hosting events during the 2030 Winter Olympics that are being held across the French Alps.
