The Property

Chalet Banja in Zermatt sits in an ideal location, perched a short distance from the Matterhorn Express gondola and providing picturesque views of the famous Matterhorn. Accommodating 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, Chalet Banja is a rarity, a luxury chalet in Zermatt with a swimming pool, in addition to several other delightful wellness features and traditionally-styled living areas to make yourself home in.

Chalet Banja makes use of an authentic design, paying homage to its traditional Valais heritage, utilising noble materials such as wood and stone. The chalet benefits from an intimate view of the Matterhorn and its surrounding peaks at all times of the day. Large windows encompass the living space, allowing for plenty of natural light to enter, bouncing off the blond wood, illuminating the space. Vaulted ceilings with visible wooden beams assist in making the rooms feel all the more spacious. You are welcomed by an incredibly large living space, pairing modern, plush furnishings with the occasional historical artifact of a cherished era. Guests can cosy up near the fireplace or choose to make use of the stube to heat the entire area, keeping guests toasty after a long day on the slopes. Adjacent to the living area lies the kitchen/dining room. Guests can enjoy a fully catered meal with an impeccable view if they decide to go with the catered option. For guests who have their own group's appointed chef, guests can keep them company as they create a culinary masterpiece, sharing stories of their adventures of the day backed by a fantastic view. Both living and dining areas offer independent terrace access, offering a pleasant space to admire the Matterhorn and take in the fresh alpine air.

Chalet Banja has its own private spa and wellness area which rivals those in many of Zermatt's hotels. The 10m indoor swimming pool is a key highlight, with very few chalets in Zermatt offering such a facility, allowing guests to have a swim session or simply unwind at the poolside lounge. The south-facing windows of the area allow for picturesque views of the Matterhorn during the day and allow for plenty of natural light to seep into the wellness area. There is a fitness room also available to use, as well as a sauna for a quick post-ski rejuvenation session.

Cahlet Banja can accommodate 6 guests across 3 beautiful double bedrooms. All bedrooms have the option of becoming twin rooms, allowing guests more flexibility. The bedrooms all follow a similar design to the rest of the chalet, making use of blond wood and vaulted ceilings, allowing for the natural light that enters through the windows to brighten up the whole room, bringing a layer of warmth to the space. All the rooms provide access to a shared or private balcony, and all come with well-appointed en-suite facilities.

For added convenience, there is an internal lift between the three floors of the chalet. Chalet Banja also offers laundry facilities and a heated ski room with boot warmers.

Next to Chalet Banja is its sister property, Chalet Binna. Both chalets can be taken together for groups of up to 15 guests.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 6 guests and is offered on a fully catered basis (daily breakfast, afternoon tea & 4 x evening dinner service) with complimentary wines and taxi service on arrival/departure day for Zermatt train station.

On Xmas, New Year, February Half Term and Easter weeks, the fully catered package includes 6 x evening dinner service. Upgrades to 6 nights of evening meals may be possible on other weeks, please enquire.

The chalet may also be taken on a bed and breakfast basis with daily housekeeping.

On some weeks, the chalet can also be taken on a self catered basis without any staff services, please enquire.
