The heart of the Three Valleys, Méribel continues to innovate with enhancements and improvements to its ski area and village for winter 25/26. Known for being a top family friendly ski resort as well as having some of the best après bars in the Three Valleys, Méribel continues to position itself to attract visitors year-on-year. For this reason, we’ve gathered highlights for what is new in Méribel for your ski chalet holiday this season…

Improvements to the Skiing Experience

Chairlift to Gondola

The Côte Brune Chairlift has become the Côte Brune Gondola, courtesy of Leitner. The 51 gondolas will be able to transport 2,600 skiers per hour with a capacity of 10 people per cabin. Altogether, it will ensure a quicker journey to Val Thorens and a smoother connection between Méribel-Mottaret and the wider 3 Vallées.

Rhodos Renovations

In addition, major renovations on the Rhodos Gondola have modernised both the cabins and stations for extra comfort and passenger space. A €10m renovation, the Rhodos Gondola now features the latest generation Poma Diamond 8 lift models, with a capacity to carry 8 seated passengers and 10 standing. As a result, it can now transport 700 people per hour – a great improvement to the comfort of beginners and ski schools who rely on this lift. The works have also included a rearrangement of electrical installations meaning improvements to the landscape.

Rhodos to Rond-Point – A New Green Piste

In light of the Rhodos lift renovations, a new green piste will run from Rhodos mid-station to the Rond-Point. This has created a safe and easy route for beginners. Beyond helping learners perfect their technique, it will also allow tired skiers to safely get to their accommodation at the end of a long ski day.
