Chalet Ambre is a beautiful blend of modern furnishing and authentic Alpine décor. Accommodating 8 guests across 4 bedrooms, Chalet Ambre is ideal for a family getaway for a luxury ski holiday in the French Alps.
Upon entering, you are greeted with a bright and spacious open-plan living space, consisting of a living area, dining area, and a fully-fitted kitchen. Double-height, vaulted ceilings create an airy feel, while the natural wood interior and exposed beams pay homage to the alpine retreat heritage of the chalet. A large sofa welcomes guests to rest and relax after a long day on the slopes, and enjoy the view of the Torvière mountain as you share stories of your ski adventures of the day. Chalet Ambre's impressive dual-aspect fireplace and chandelier set the tone for this luxurious chalet. Multiple windows encircle the space, welcoming natural light and breathing life into the room. These windows open out onto a terrace space for guests to enjoy a more intimate view of the valley.
For a deep muscle therapy session or simply for leisure, the outdoor hot tub is readily available to wash away fatigue. A rejuvenating soak with a glass of wine overlooking the valley is a recipe to a luxurious R&R session. The chalet's table tennis table is also readily available for guests looking to add a sense of rivalry to their stay.
Chalet Ambre can accommodate 8 guests across 4 bedrooms. The bedrooms fall in line with the chalet's design. Natural wood lines the interior, while contemporary furnishings bring a sophisticated feel to the bedrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite shower rooms. Comfortable bedding, ensuring guests receive ample rest, keeping you in top form for whatever the mountain throws your way. The master bedroom resides on the top floor, offering private balcony access and uninterrupted views of the valley through floor-to-ceiling windows. The remaining bedrooms on the first floor can be arranged as either twins or doubles according to guests' requests. A family suite also features a bunk bed (sleeping two). All bedrooms on the first floor offer shared balcony access.
For added convenience, a ski room is available with boot warmers, there is also parking space available for guest use. Laundry facilities are also available.
Chalet Ambre can be taken alongside Chalet Opale to create Chalet Opale Ambre sleeping 21 people, or the chalets can be taken separately. The two chalets interconnect via a door between the kitchen areas, or through the garage on the ground floor.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 11 guests and is offered with full gourmet catering, open bar, daily housekeeping and in-resort driver service.
The chalet is also offered on a self catered basis with daily housekeeping and in-resort driver service.
Chalet Ambre is a luxury chalet in Tignes Le Lac, occupying a great location close to both the centre and the slopes.
The chalet is located a minute's drive from the main snow front of Tignes Le Lac, where you will find the main ski school meeting points. The main lifts here are the Palafour chairlift and the Tovière gondola, the latter of which takes you towards the skiing in Val d'Isère. Alternately, if you walk three minutes up the road from the chalet, you can access the bottom of the blue Petit Col piste. This skis you beneath the road and to the Chaudannes and Paquis chairlifts.
The main snow front by the lake is also the centre of Tignes Le Lac. From here, you have a couple of roads leading off in two directions, where you will find the main concentration of restaurants, bars, cafés and shops in resort.

At the centre of your catered chalet experience is a food philosophy of gourmet dining to exceed your expectations. The professional chefs design their own menu weekly, utilising seasonal ingredients and local produce, with any dietary requirements and special requests happily incorporated into their menus. Each morning, a fresh continental spread with fruit, yogurts, bread, croissants and a daily breakfast special will be set out to start your day for the slopes the right way. On return, you will be welcomed back to the chalet with a freshly baked cake, cheese charcuterie, or even doughnuts, a different option each day.Pre-dinner canapés and Champagne set the stage for the main event, a gourmet four-course meal set to delight your taste buds. While a selection of house wines are made available to pair with dinner, for an additional cost you can also peruse the wine cave and pick your favourite option, with all wines sourced from the best French vineyards.
Chalet Ambre also offers daily chalet cleaning and an in-resort driver service, running between the hours of 8am-10:30am and 4pm-7pm, both of which are also available on the self catered package. A range of additional services can also be organised at an additional cost, through the chalet's concierge.
